They are talking about repealling the gas tax here in Illinois for some relief... I'll believe it when it happens!!

You know there is something not kosher going on in Illinois when I can travel the 4 miles from my house to the Wisconsin line and prices drop 21 cents a gallon!!!

Given B-Rob's bomb throwing corruption claims in the IL legislature, does a $0.21 drop surprise you?

No not at all.  Hell even here in the U.P. where we have propane powered t.v. and moose pulled carts the gas prices are 20 cents a gallon less!

Noticed the same thing ... it dropped 10 cents a gallon from GA to SC

Wal-Mart is supposed to open up gas stations at their stores across the nation and offer E85 and possibly E100.  Most cars can convert with a $150 part.

Only downside to running the van on E85 is I have to use some special Mopar oil. But I can handle that, I can get a discount on that too........ :P

Costco (at least in my part of Cali) has been consistently on the lower end of the price range. $3.21 over the weekend.

But no "free sample" lady with her portable table and skillet to offer you a snack. :(

It's "down" to 2.99 here in NE Ohio this week.

They figure when they have the price up around 3.29 a gallon or so for a while, people will begin to think 2.99 is a bargain. And this thread was started in January with gas at 1.99

And how bad is that when California has lower gas prices than other parts of the nation...  ???

I'm certain that Rob6 meant lower within CA. Given that we have $0.60 in taxes per gallon, I don't think we're ever going to be lower than "other parts of the nation"
