You're lower than we are... and at the time of his post when the Cali Costco was selling for 3.21, we were at 3.62!  And we've come down to a reasonable 3.55 since... out in the burbs!  Not sure what Chicago proper is, but typically they are about .40 to .50 higher than the burbs.

Around here we have Giant Eagle Foods, and they run Get Go gas stations. For every $50.00 you buy at Giant Eagle, you get 10 cents off per gallon; so I get a discount of .50 to .60 every time I get gas. I also have two extra gas cans I fill up. It's usually $11 to $12 I save every two weeks. I will need gas tomorrow and if the price doesn't change, I will pay $2.49 per gallon.

I live in western KY and prices have been between $3.05 and $3.31 for about 6 weeks now - don't know what's up with that.  Filled up today for $36 and it was at $3.14 for 87.  I drive an '05 Chevy Equinox (SUV) and it gets about 27mpg, so I guess I'm lucky in that regards.
