I tell ya, in the beginning we worry that we will be rejected and that women are not attracted to bald guys: i have to call BS on this because it is not the truth. I realize you being so young that being bald can be something you have to get over as when we age, it is a natural thing. My suggestion to you is to be confident and take care of your dome and eventually you will love it. I am happy to with my hairstyle and not embarrased at all to show off my dome in public

Awesome Topic.
Here is what I think.
Right now (24 years old and just realizing that sly is the thing to do) I WOULD PREFER to have hair 100%.
But being sly suits me very well and I am confident that some girls will like it (actually I Have had many more positive comments than negative ones). I need to get used to it and be more confident about it. The only thing that bugs me is that I have a little bit a chubby face and being sly makes it show more, but it not a really big difference with when I had hair. I think that being bald (sly) suits me very well, and in the future a little (wig...I don't know if it the word....but you know , a little bit of hair on the sides)
I just need to get USED to it, it is all psychological. At some points I am looking at older people who have hair and I find them SUPERIOR, at some times, I look at them and find them inferior. All that is stupid, being bald is just some hair. Most of the people that I will meet WILL BE USED TO SEE ME BALD!!!! Especially when it suist me well!!!!!

I have only been bald for like..2 days but so far its not bad, My head is cold all the time and i hate that but I like not having to worry about combing my hair.
If i had a full non receded hairline I would probably have the length half way down my back by now, but i gotta accept the cards that im dealt with so, its not bad being bald

For me, I guess I am BBC. I was pretty gray on the sides (and still in my thirties) I wish I would have done it sooner. I think being sly makes you look younger too!

I worked yesterday, as it was Saturday, and Paul - - who I told to shave his head two weeks ago came in to show me his newly shaved melon - - - -(he is completely bald on top and little on the sides) looked like BOZO - - - - - - - - - - - -He looked better and was happy - - - - and asked me "do you really like being BALD?" What a silly question to ask me and I said: - -How about you? - - - - -His reply: Can't you tell that I am glowing - - - - - - - - - -TWO BALD GUYS HAVING FUN - - - -Just to feel that BALD DOME - -feels great

I do like being bald, It would be a lie to say that I wasn't upset with my hair falling out, but the reality is it did, and I still look good bald and you gotta play the cards you're dealt, and I feel like I'm playing them quite well

I Love it. I do have a full head of hair but, much rather be bald only takes about 3 to 4 minutes to shave everyday. Would not have it any other way.

I love it, and so do the people close to me. My girlfriend is very supportive and says men should always have very short hair, but bald is even better. She love the masculinity is represents and loves it.

OK, I love the BBC look, however I am always second guessing myself if it was the right look for me.

Yes I went sly because of MPB, but looking back I think I'd rather be sly anyway.
I mean really.. the small pleasure of catching a nice cool breeze on your hot sweaty dome is just awesome. Plus it gives me an edge without having to try too hard.
Not to mention how refreshing it is to shave it every morning. I never knew how much I hated having hair.

I had been dying to shave my head smooth. I did it in 2007 and my wife kind of freaked. I'm way too overweight on a medium-frame and so looked like uncle fester... Did it again in 2008; it was hotter 'an heck in Dallas and just did it. My wife said (at the time) she didn't see any difference between that or the #1/2 clipper cut. But, she hates it. I stopped shaving for a bit in Fall 2009 and have been off & on ever since.
I hate being bald, but it's my bad genetics. I figure there could be worse outcomes, genetically speaking. My wife is just not a fan of the bald head, but she understands where I'm coming from.
I find I get a lot more friendly looks & smiles from strangers when I have about 1/8" of hair and my MPB in full-effect with full-on silver sides... I have to work a lot more at smiling to get strangers to respond in a more friendly manner when sly, because I look downright menacing. Born with a serious look on my face, I guess... crap.
I've been unshaved now for about a week; thinking about shaving and keeping the beard or maybe even letting it go to something less... not sure what. Fortunately I have a job that is "flexible" enough I can waffle about my appearance... I know if I manned up and lost the weight I need to lose, my wife would feel way differently about the sly look. Guess it's time to get on it.
