For me, it's a French press.

A few months ago I bought a De'Longhi EC155 15 BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker. I went from drinking between 6 and 8 cups of regular coffee to 2 espressos a day. I grind my own beans, and have been experimenting with different blends. I have decided that I like the lighter blends; less bitter and they have more caffeine. I normally buy whatever is on sale. and I cannot tell the difference between the taste of the $6/lb and the $15/lb brands. Since I switched to espresso I find regular coffee bland and uninteresting. I have actually reduced the amount of coffee beans that I buy by well over half.

I either use a french press or an italian stovetop (the aforementioned 'moka pot'). just had a great coffe this morning with a very spicy breakfast, I'm sure you can relate to this one Bear but coffee after spicy food is amazing, a little added chutzpah.

Trader Joe's dark French Roast this morning.
Looking forward to the time zone changes next weekend. I need more sun to go with the coffee in the morning.

Loved using the French Press for years with fresh ground beans, great invention. But lately I've pulled out the old percolator from my camping gear and make it like Daddy used to. Makes the whole house smell like breakfast time.

I haven't used one of those aluminium things with the glass bubble on top for years.

We don't do aluminum anymore, Tom. It's a nice stainless steel job with the lil' glass jobber on top....and if'n you listen close it plays that perkin' song.

I'll disagree, Slynito. The actual optimal temperature for the water differs across different brewing methods.
For a French press, for example, 200ºF is best. Any hotter, and undesirable bitter components of the beans are leeched out into the brew.
