I had a busy day yesterday, but my wife and daughter were out running errands all day today so it's left me with a full day to get stuff done.

How was your weekend?

Good weekend. Scorching weather today though up in the 100's, and this is south dakota so I can only imagine how it's feeling down south. E3 for the next 3 days though so bring on the nerdgasm's!

Its been hot and humid here so Ive been in the pool all day. I love the feel of water flowing over my sly head and after I get out theres no hair to dry.

At a supposedly pleasant get-together for snax, drinx, and talk with five or six like-minded friends on Sunday, one friend had a nasty quarrel with his girlfriend in from Los Angeles for a visit and drove off, leaving her behind without transport back to her hotel--so that fell to me.
Today, burial of a casual acquaintance, but one for two decades. But that was not the "weekend," and the post-burial food and drinks banished most of the melancholy and sparked fond reminiscence.

On Friday I rode the HD 220 miles.
On Saturday, the wife and I just spent the day with the kids doing things THEY like to do.
Yesterday there was a surprise party in Baltimore for my Sis-in-Law.

worked quite a bit, went to a 40th b-day party saturday night (The Lovely Mrs. Schro and I partied it up), did some stuff around the house, and witnessed my daughter shooting under 100 for an 18 hole round of golf for the first time!

It was pretty awesome. Not bad for a 12 yr old girl that's been playing seriously for about a year.

BBCAlex and Arty, I'm with you re: water. Rain is like a head massage and it only takes a moment to dry off

My weekend was spent in the village of Fana, Mali. Now I am back in Bamako hoping the rainy season starts soon! I can't imagine what it would be like if I had a full head of hair, but I'm guessing pretty miserable. Regularly been above 100 degrees in May/June so far. Enjoying the natural air conditioning of no hair

Not as busy as usual, but it was a nice change of pace. Got up early Saturday morning to witness a friend's son become the youngest pilot to solo in a hot air balloon. Left a bit earlier than usual, had to get home and hook up the evaporative cooler. Spent a good chunk of Saturday mid morning to afternoon on that, then relaxed in the nice cool air the rest of the day. Got up Sunday and made pancakes for breakfast, did some stuff around the house, took two of my three munchkins to the park and then went to a BBQ.

Too bad those swamp coolers don't work up here in the NE. They are much more efficient.

They work nicely in the desert. Many have them in Phoenix AZ
