I use green peppers in the jar for the juice to dribble over black eyed peas or greens.
Living in New Mexico, we put red or green chile or jalapenos on everything.

When I was on my golf trip to Myrtle beach last month, i had to go right past Fayettville, NC on 95 South. Well my favorite soul food restaurant is in fayettville so I go t off the Interstate and took my buddy there to eat. What a way to start my trip..... it was an awesome meal!!!! MMMM!!!! had all the great things you just mentioned but most importantly there was also Eastern Carolina pork barbecue! Man if yoou've never had that you haven't lived!!!!!
my granddad comes from eastern KY. Biscuits and gravy were a staple meal in our house growin' up!
