I met my wife in January of 1991.  Started dating in June 1991.  Engaged by February 1992 and married in August 1992.  Didn't have a long engagement.  I was almost 30, and knew what I was looking for.

A lot of August '92 weddings.  We dated one year, got engaged July 1991 and married Aug 22, '92.  We were going to go to the Keys, but she didn't want to go to South Florida in August.  So we went to Ashville, NC.
And of course Andrew went through that weekend.  I was only 21.
The 90s were a blur for me.  All you young sly guys out there.........it goes by REALLY FAST!  Pretty soon, you look around and realize that there is a group of people out there that you can't relate to, their clothes look weird and you can't understand what they're thinking and why they do what they do.....then you realize they are YOUNGER than you!!!!!

Enjoy life one day at a time.  That's what I try to do and it pays off.

If I had a choice to relive the 90's or the 80's....i would choose the 80's.....especially the late 80's....seems like so much more happened in the 80's

It happened to me.  I tell my wife that I'm a 21 yr old trapped in a 37 yr old body.  I still like to do all that crazy stuff that younger people do.  I've threatened to get my ears pierced....she reminds me that I'm almost 40.  My 15 yr old nephew got Guitar Hero for Chirstmas and I love it.  Now I want to buy a PS2.

My wife keeps me on an even keel. (she tries anyway)  People are shocked that I have tattoos. Someone told me one time...."I can't believe you have tattoos.  You look so Republican."  What is THAT supposed to mean?!  LOL

You should have seen the look on their face when I told them that I have been known to drink vodka right out of the bottle!  I like to do and say things that get peoples attention and see what response I get.  It's fun.

I guess the point is I may grow older but I refuse to grow up!

I can't say that I've noticed people with weird clothes -- with the exception of those that wear really baggy jeans and I haven't even seen that much lately -- or that I'm totally unable to relate to.  I can see how the very old and the very young might be unable to relate to each other, but I don't see this huge gulf between myself and people who are a few years younger.  Do you?

OK, you just proved my point.  If you're a 21-year-old in a 37-year-old body, then you shouldn't feel that you can't relate to the 21-year-olds or that they dress strangely, right?

I guess there are two parts of it.  I like some of the "younger" things but at the same time I find myself listening to the classic rock station and couldn't tell you a "hot" band or group right now to save my life.

I think I got off topic a little bit.  In the 90s I was in the up and coming generation, then suddenly people that drive and are in high school are calling me Sir.  All I'm saying is, it happens fast and the 90s were gone in a flash.

You guys need a quick fix of TRL.

I believe the media and clothing brands try to make people feel "old" at 25. Virtually all products these days are squarely aimed at the 14-24 year old age bracket. Hell I am 27 and I work in a call centre, most of my co-workers are late teens or early 20's with the exception of management.

Frankly I dont give a rats ass. Like GAslick said, I feel young at heart so I will do things that I enjoy, even though these things may not be suitable to someone my age.
