Robmeister's Fitness Goal
« on: December 06, 2006, 10:19:05 AM »
Ok...once again, kudos to Tyler for lighting the fire under my caboose!!

It's my second day on Nutrisystem and today will be my first day back to the gym since the end of August.  Weighed in yesterday at 253.  On my 45th Birthday (April 9) I'd like to be 40 lbs lighter (213).

When I get down to 238 I shave the plate!!!  This is in fulfillment of a deal my wife and I made.

We have friends and family coming into town to go skiing in February and March.  So this will be a good impetus to stay on track.  Being diligent I should be able to lose 20 lbs for the February group....and another 10 or so for the March group.  Now, diligent for me apart from the obvious eating and workout requirements is staying away from something I love very much---BEER and various other adult beverages.  I'm a good ol' Irishman....and it's very social and recreational for me.  But it is my way of drawing a line in the sand and saying, "Man, what is more important for the next 4 months?"

Guess that's it for now.

Awesome goal Robmeister!  Let us know what we can do to keep you on track so we can see you with a "real" shaved head here soon.

Well, by golly, 1 lb down and 14 to go to shave the plate!!!  Went to the gym yesterday as planned and it felt great just walkin through the door and grabbin a towel.

We live in Littleton and live closest to Winter Park...Loveland may be about as close.  The March group will be staying in Winter Park.  When my dad comes in February we'll probably do Winter Park as well (I'll be sporting the new chromedome!)

Thanks, Tyler for the encouragement.

OK....kinda plateau'd after the first 2LBs ???

But I'm gettin' in the gym groove.  Got my weights and cardio dialed in and my tracking sheets set up (big part of fitness thrust).   Finishing off with a tan at each visit helps too.

Have a juicer, so I may do a juice fast/flush.  Speed me up to the shavemeister!!!

Boy...that is an intimidating shot of me!

Funny how when you change pictures in yer profile....it can foul up a posting...if not an entire THREAD.

OK.....the blizzard had us land-locked for several days....couldn't go to the gym.   A little cabin feavor and I took liberties in the eating department as well.

So my plateau will be extended, folks....still have 13 lbs to go until the shave.

Hey Robmeister, If you put the weight back on (God forbid), do you have to regrow your hair?  Might be an incentive to stay on the diet .
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat." - Theodore Roosevelt
