Good change of direction, B-Rob.  O0
I love the Geico Caveman ads. Especially the one where the caveman is on the people mover at the airport and he passes a Geico billboard, cruises by it, walks in reverse direction, stares at the sign in digust while walking in the opposite direction (so he can hold his position), and then shakes his head while the people mover whisks him away.

Not a word is said in the commercial, but I think it's totally effective and comical at the same time.

Agonizing over what cannot be is an insult to what is.

I like what a comedian recently noted (don't recall his name) about those Cialis commercials.

He said, "I love how CIALIS says if you have an erection lasting longer than 4 hours to go see yer doctor.  F*** that, GO SEE ALICE!!!"

The advert that really gets my goat over here in UK is a radio advert where all these women meet up for a drink after work and they talk about...
...CONSTIPATION...yeah, man, that's just what everyone talks about when they meet up after work.  If you werent sitting around on yer fat a$$es talkin about it and you were out gettin some EXCERCISE instead, and EATIN PROPERLY then you wouldnt get constipation in the first place >:( :/O

I like the Coors Light commercials where the guys pretend they are asking questions to NFL coaches, and the answers are from actual post game press conferences.  They are pretty unique and funny, at least to me.
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Yeah, I love the Geico Caveman commercials, all funny as hell....the one where he is on one of those debate shows...and the lady says , "looks like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the rock", lmao that one cracks me up....

I like that new EA Sports commercial where they have some tiny grandma come off the field in some football jersey, and she yells out something like "THIS IS MY HOUSE NOW!", while she pounds her chest like a football player.  Funny as hell.

I HATE those cheezy ass Walmart commericials where they have the whole family gathering on Christmas, and everybody is acting phony and corny....terrible acting

Any commercial perpetuating the hysteria of global warming.

In the 1970s, environmental alarmists were in a frenzy about global cooling.  We were told in the 1990s that we only had 10 years left to save the planet.  The "experts" were wrong then.  Why should we listen to the same people now?  Check out these quotes about global cooling:

The continued rapid cooling of the earth since WWII is in accord with the increase in global air pollution associated with industrialization, mechanization, urbanization and exploding population. -- Reid Bryson, "Global Ecology; Readings towards a rational strategy for Man", (1971)

The battle to feed humanity is over. In the 1970s, the world will undergo famines. Hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now. Population control is the only answer -- Paul Ehrlich - The Population Bomb (1968)

I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000 -- Paul Ehrlich in (1969)

In ten years all important animal life in the sea will be extinct. Large areas of coastline will have to be evacuated because of the stench of dead fish. -- Paul Ehrlich, Earth Day (1970)

Before 1985, mankind will enter a genuine age of scarcity . . . in which the accessible supplies of many key minerals will be facing depletion -- Paul Ehrlich in (1976)

This [cooling] trend will reduce agricultural productivity for the rest of the century -- Peter Gwynne, Newsweek 1976

There are ominous signs that the earth's weather patterns have begun to change dramatically and that these changes may portend a drastic decline in food production - with serious political implications for just about every nation on earth. The drop in food production could begin quite soon... The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologist are hard-pressed to keep up with it. -- Newsweek, April 28, (1975)

This cooling has already killed hundreds of thousands of people. If it continues and no strong action is taken, it will cause world famine, world chaos and world war, and this could all come about before the year 2000. -- Lowell Ponte "The Cooling", 1976
If present trends continue, the world will be about four degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but eleven degrees colder by the year 2000...This is about twice what it would take to put us in an ice age. -- Kenneth E.F. Watt on air pollution and global cooling, Earth Day (1970)

I want to chime in quickly on the "Global Warming" issue. I have always felt that it is a natural occurrence. Yes, pick your jaws up off the ground. My wife is taking a geology class and her professor says the same thing. In a nutshell, we have four seasons to allow the earth to renew itself and everything can grow again in spring. This is renewal on a larger scale. The polar ice caps for example, what happens when you drop a couple of ice cubes into a margarita (or even a Schrotini)? Ice will melt, but it cools the drink off as well. The ice caps melt, cooling the oceans. Which in turn will cool off the atmosphere and add more moisture to the air, which will in turn produce precipitation, yes? Temperatures are going to fluctuate no matter where you are. Last year we had an almost record snowfall in Albuquerque. So far this year, barely a trace.

I say it's being blown out of proportion and there is nothing we can do to stop if it is something the planet is doing itself naturally.
In a bacon and eggs breakfast, the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed. BE THE PIG!!!

Paulie... you're lucky you posted the warning up!  I was getting ready talk about global warming and amazingly enough, the cycles that the earth goes through, caused by "wobbling" on it axis that throughout history (and yes, most climatologists are in agreement) that cause shifts in the climate.  This has been proven time and time again, yet never makes the news.  In fact, 60 Minutes did a segment that was severely edited where the interviewee, who was a honored and respected climatologist stated the above information, yet for some reason, they edited out everything except for "yes, global warming is occuring".  60 Minutes even came back later and admitted to the "selective editing" but would not air the interview in full...

As with everything else, the liberals base everything on emotions and the conservatives base things on FACTS!!

Yes, I got political, but once again, people make statements based on the pop culture media without gaining the true knowledge based on facts and history of this earth.
