Ok, ok, ok. I can't believe that I have never read this thread before. I am a coffee nut!!!! Don't mess with my Tim Hortons and nobody will get hurt!!! :x!  b0x3r  kn*% No offence to all my american Sly friends, but in my travells accross the USA when I used to do long haul, I was NEVER able to find a decient cup of coffee anywere!!
Haveing said that, I do like some of the coffies from Starbucks, however I do not like paying 5 bucks for a coffee.
But NEVER compare my Timmies to Starbucks or that awful Dunkin Doughnuts  :Xo!  :Xo!
Tim Hortons Coffee RULES!!!!

Whoa dude, some of us like Dunkin Donuts. And who the heck is Tim Horton.?

Although I don't follow the sport, I do know that Tim Hortins was a Canadian Hockey Legend. I am not sure as to what extent because as I said I don't follow the sport. I just know that is where the coffee franchise got its name from.

I dont want to start any trouble here, but I had coffee nearly every day for my last year of high school at a Tim Hortons and their coffee was nothing special.

I agree with Mr.Gallagher in that Dunkin Doughnuts have great black coffee. A cup of coffee at DD and their blueberry glazed tops anything at Tim Hortons or Krispy Kreme

Love my coffee...

Just on my second pot of french press for the morning.  (ok, the french press only yields 2 cups).  Enjoying some Kenya AA today.

I roast my own beans as well.  Nothing beats fresh roast, fresh ground, french pressed coffee.

Waliguy - what is this french press?  Is it like an expresso maker?  Also, what kind of equipment is required to roast your beans?

French press:

The only way to brew coffee in my opinion.

Andrew, BootedBear posted a french press.  I have one just like it...it's a Bodum and it's great.  Makes just over two big cups per press.

You put fresh roast (ground) in the bottom, pour hot water over the top, and let it brew about 3 minutes.  Then you pour in and enjoy.

Roast is pretty easy with my simplified setup.  I use a hot air popcorn popper (actually two or three at once) and roast enough for maybe 7-10 days.  Always fresh and tasty!

I have heard that over 90% of all coffee that is consumed in the world is stale upon consumption.  Basically, once roasted, the coffee been deteriorates rapidly.
