Lots of blades = Lots of irritation!! Plus, lots of money!

I agree with Magoo. Each guy figures out what works best for him.
I shave daily in the shower using a mirror only while I am going around the goat. The Fusion Proglide has become my razor of choice when I am in the shower. When I shave in the evening, I can take my time with the DE at the sink.
I have tried both the HeadBlades, and neither worked as well for me or got me as smooth as the other razors. HeadSlick is a great product. I found that a pre-shave oil like Shave Secret really works well for getting a closer shave with less irritation.
Glad you joined us, Chris.

Welcome Chris.
For me: Everyday in the Shower with a Headblade.
It did take a while to master the technique ... now it's probably about 5 minutes.

Hey, and welcome. I'm still an FNG myself. I'm a stay at home father of twins, who also has a full time job, so my schedule is nuts. Shaving my head in peace is a luxury I am rarely afforded. I started by having a barber do It for me. After the one time the barber did it I knew it'd be for me.
I got the headblade right away and I love it. Back when I first started I was shaving almost every day (after I worked my way up to that). Now I honestly shave whenever I feel like it. If one week is crazy then I go a week without shaving.
With that said, I think it's all relative. If I have let the hair build up, shaving may add significant time to my shower. But when I shave daily it's extremely quick. So either a little extra time every day, or a significant amount of time once in awhile.
But I also have a beard, so shaving in the shower also requires me to shave some outside the shower in front of a mirror.
Regardless, you'll find what works for you. I never shaved my noodle with a reg blade, so the transition to the headblade was easy for me

Indeed ... everyone is different. I have two friends who shave their heads twice a month - no more, no less. They look great regardless of whether it's down to the skin or well-stubbled.

Sorry for the time away guys. Got my Headblade shortly after first posting but been so busy haven't had time to commit to. Anyway I said this was the weekend. I left today empty and my only task for today was head shaving. Wow. Headblade is absolutely brilliant. Found it so easy. Followed all the tips on here about using Headblade and it worked a treat. Nice smooth shave, no bumps, very happy. Only problem I have a pale scalp and shorty after my fiancé said to me 'I don't want to upset you'. I thought no she hates it. 'Youve shaved a bit of your eyebrow off'. Look in the mirror I've put a little line in my eyebrow. No idea how. Looks like I've done it on purpose to be 'cool'

Guess the blades are SHARP!
With summer here, you should have a tan on top in no time.
Just watch for sunburn.

3 shaves down now and i'm still loving it. As I said before no irritation. I don't know if you read my original post but I said it took me ages and I hated doing it. Well with the Headblade i'd say it added 10 minutes onto my shower and it really is much nicer to do. One happy bald man

With experience the time required will shorten a bit further. Just don't go too fast so that you become careless and injure yourself.
Similarly, don't shave so quickly that you forget to ENJOY the experience!
