I guaran-frickin-tee that no garment will match your head as well as 8yards of wool tartan around your waist.

It worked for me  ^-^

I spent about 3 years wearing only UtiliKilts (and two tartan kilts for special occasions). Bald, bearded, tattooed, kilted! That was "my look" for a good long while. People around me got used to it, then it started to become a sort of costume. I was "kilt guy", my email address was "kiltedvash" (no joke).

I decided I didn't want to wear costumes, I wanted to wear clothes. I didn't want to be known as "kilt guy" for the rest of my life, so when I met my (now) wife, and decided to get engaged, part of the money for the ring was raised by selling off 5 different UtiliKilts and my two tartan kilts.

I still have and sometimes wear my first UtiliKilt.  :@`

Okay, I've finally worked up the nerve to sport the totally clean look (day 6 of the 30-day rule, just shaved again an hour ago).  I'd love to wear a kilt, but I don't think I can quite work up the nerve for that yet.  Besides, they're expensive!

Gotta ask, do you guys wear underwear with it?  Have you gotten caught with your kilt up?

Regards,

Earl

Usually, the only thing I wear under my kilts is lipstick! :*)) if it is super hot and I am sweating, I wear some undies to prevent chaffing.  :XX. And oh yes, I have gotten caught with the kilt up! Windy days can be interesting!

I consulted TartanRaven who told me that wearing knickers is part of the outfit.  Thus I think you could wear them if you so desire.  I am looking at Utilikilts.  They seem easier to wear on a day to day basis.

I would think so, the pockets are nice... and the price is better than a true tartan.  I have a khaki, blue jean, and black jean!  My son has a black twill? very nice!

@ Michael-   I bet those motorcycles do kick up some wind...  -haha.

@ Balchav-  It sounds like you have a personal story for us about a wedding and a kilt.  We are all ears.  -lol.

Kilts are awesome but I would need a few more wee drams of Scotch before I thought my knees and legs were "kilt-worthy"...  :*))
