Well things do seem to be heading that way, but just like Yugoslavia and the USSR, it would never work. The individual countries are way too different and have way too many dislikes for each other.

I'm happy to have a US and a UK passport. I dont need two that say 'united states' on the front cover  :D

Yes they've always had it :) I've been a US citizen since 1965 and a UK citizen since 1972, although I didnt get my first British passport until 1990. On this side of the planet, its safer/easier/less hassle to travel on a UK passport, and I only use my US passport once or twice a year, when I fly back to the US. The only way I'd lose my UK citizenship is if I were to take a job with the US government, and the same applies in reverse, or if I were to renounce my citizenship, obviously.

And to keep this on topic, I'm now about to shave my head  :*))
