IMy lapses never lasted very long.  I don't think I've had any since joining this site.  I know I'd have to answer to BaldAndre if he ever found out there was stubble on my dome.   :D

Damn straight skippy! ;)

Its just automatic to me.
But I currently have a delima, I was working in my yard all weekend getting the first grass cut of the season in .... I know, the northern brothers may think they want to see green grass but you really don't !!, anyway I was cutting these billions of mini-trees growing in my fence-line and piling them in front of the house for sale next door.... I mean why should I pay the city for pickup  ::) ? Well, I have this old clothes line pole at the back corner I haven't removed, and was near it picking up another pile of sticks to carry out, and when I stood up I found out I was closer to the pole than I thought. Talk about seeing stars, I almost blacked out, and it took a minute for me to realize what happened. I had a headsweat on to protect the dome from the sun and scrathes, and when I put my hand up there it was covered in blood. I came in the house and took off the headsweat and all I could see was this golf-ball sized lump with blood running off it. I had my son check it out too see if it needed stitches, but luckily its just 2 gashes that just needed a bandage.
So right now I can shave most of the dome except for the golf ball, I must admit its easy to shave around because its so friggin big!!
But I will still shave what I can because I can't stand the velcro feel, and I cant stand the bandages either!!
I hope I heal up before the weekend  :'(

I'm really addicted to the SLy look so I'm pretty much an everyday shaver. Funny thing is that when I had hair, I only shaved my face once or twice a week............. strange but true..........

Lance, I hear ya on this one. I am now in a routine of shaving every other day, sometimes two. On my days off I usually skip shaving.
I actually like the look and feel of two day stubble, (ala Jason Statham). I also feel it gives my scalp a bit of a break, and when you do shave again, the result is amazingly smooth.
Well, at work last week, some of my co-workers wondered how I looked with hair. So I am now on my fourth day of letting it grow. I am also curious to see how it has changed, if at all.
So I will keep you posted on how it goes. Right now I like it, but we shall see.   ;)

Yeah, I'm the same way like I said.  Sometimes I'll get in a mood and want to see what it would look like after about a week.  But I usually never go longer than that because of my thinning.  I'll tell myself every time that I'm not going to let the thinning bother me and just let it go for a while.  Come about a week later I'm like forget it.

What happens is, for the first few days there's hair sprouting out everywhere, and it seems like more than you expected.  Then after about 5 or 6 days, it slows down or stops in the thinning/receding areas and keeps growing everywhere else and suddenly you look like somebody's granddad.  And that's when the razor comes back out.   ;D

That's what happens, but I never make a whole week. I haven't let it go past 3-4 days at most since I shaved, but I agree, you do get curious.
I don't know how long I'm going to go, but we'll see.

It does end up feeling exactly like Razor said. I am now on my fifth day and I am missing the blade.    :-\

Mine actually looks kinda mangy when I have tried to grow.  Last time I tried was a year ago while on vacation, after 4 days I shaved it off happily.

BnT, mine actually grows in pretty well, with the exception being of course the "hole in the back", which seems to be spreading, lol.
Of course the front is creeping further back too. I am now on my sixth day, and am getting a little better with it. I do miss the smooth dome, but I am going to see how far I can take it. Maybe I'll give it the 30 day trial?, Warhawk? lol.    ;D

Anyway, when I do get my razor and gel out to shave my face, there on the cabinet shelf sits my trusty ole HB, calling out...   >:D

I let mine grow for 3 weeks a couple of months ago before I just had to shave it again.  It was too depressing to look at the hairline in full retreat again.

We've all gone through periods of not shaving, because anything gets tedious after a while.  The important thing is that you can easily go back when you want to.  I don't think I could let mine grow out again because it's so nice not having sweaty hair in this desert heat.
