Hi there
This is my first post here.
I did the deed a month ago and I am loving it. After battling with thinning hair and a receding hairline for years, I now feel completely liberated. I use the Headblade Sport. The HB is easy to use and extremely effective. I highly recommend it to anyone starting out or to those who have been sly for a while.

Another vote for the Merkur Double Edge, and the fine blades they make. However, if you've not used a DE, it takes a bit of time to master the art. Unlike the newer single edges, this has heft, requires almost no pressure and doesn't take curves as easily as you'll be used to. However, once you get the hang of it, you'll swear by it. And those blades....individually rapped and they come in a container that has a disposal feature. They're also a great bargain. Stand near the blade sales department wherever you are and listen to the whistling chorus of vituperation and curses as they see the price for four or five.....PJ

Just an update: I didn't have good luck with the Rolling Razor. Bought a HB Sport at a local Walgreens and it has been GREAT, should have bought it sooner... another vote for HB products. Use whatever works best for YOU.

Newbie checking in here. I just switched from a Whal electic clippers to wet shaving a few weeks ago, and the Headblade Sport is the only one I've used so far. I've been buzzing my head for almost 20 years, and the past year or so I've been using a clippers that fits in the palm of your hand. So the headblade felt completely natural to me. I'm currently using Gilette Atra Plus blades on the Headblade. I initially replaced the Headblade triple blades with Walgreens triple blade, but was disappointed with the results. I switched to the Atra double blades, and am much happier withit.

Another welcome to you Slick,
Satisfied HeadBlade Sport user here as well. Based on another forum thread I'm using the Gillette CustomPlus3 blades (with the black adapter) quite satisfactorily.

Even as a HeadBlade user, I now want to become a born again 'DE only user' for my head. It's too early to tell though, as today was my first DE head shave. I was impressed with a fantastic shave, but I will need more time, as that is the whole problem, "time" -- it takes too much of it.

It is one month today that I have gone Sly again. I find that I can use any Gillette or Schick disposable. I can shave the dome flawlessly but have a lot more trouble with my face. Haven't tried Bic on the dome due to my past experience with them on my face. Will post an intro and a pic as soon as I get an updated one.

Just switched from a Gillette Fusion to a disposable 3 blade from a company called Krazer. (I shave everyday and the Fusion cartridges are too expensive at $3.65 each to blow through one a day.) I've been seeing a lot of good reviews about the HB razor, though, so I'll probably give it a try.

Magnum 5.
$7.50 for 4 refills and I get a better shave than the Gillette Fusion Pro Glide.
