Thanks guys. I've discovered a magical power my beard seems to have. Multiple people have asked me if I've lost weight.

It's coming along nicely.
BTW, were you shaving off the top half of your mustache?

I do about once a week sometimes 2 weeks. I do it mostly to make my beard different from any other beard.

It is totally your decision and opinion that counts, but in my opinion, there is nothing to gain by trimming the top of the mustache. In my opinion, the wider the mustache the better, and it takes much less effort. Every beard is unique in its growth pattern and density. You beard is looking great.

I object! In the other thread episode 5 you said: "My look has nothing to do with anyone else (well mostly, still gotta try to be appealing to the ladies)."
So you are shaving the top of your mustache because you don't want it to look like others even though your look has nothing to do with anyone else?
I DEMAND THE TRUTH! Seriously, don't mind me. I've anal like that to begin with
, but then I discovered this series of videos on YouTube that I'm now hooked on called "Everything that's wrong with [place movie here] in
- minutes" where they nickpick everything freaking little and big thing about a movie. I had a difficult time enjoying movies the next time I watched one after seeing those videos.

I'm very non linear in my thought process and often actions. Not to drive anyone crazy (that's just a bonus) but because that's how I operate. Sometimes I do or don't do things just for the hell of it.

A young guy at my office has been growing his beard for the last three months or so, and asked me a few weeks ago, as the only other "facially follicled" man in the department, if I ever considered growing more than just the goatee. I last had a full beard about seven years ago – long before I considered taking off the horseshoe, so I figured, why not give it a go?
The goatee had to be trimmed from the "wizard length" as my daughters had called it, to blend with the cheek stubble as it grew. I am now four weeks in. I am going to give it until June to decide if I want to keep it.
