hello fellow chrome domes: i'll B going 2 the dentist next week 4 some cleaning. the last time i saw my dentist was january 2008. i hate going 2 the dentist but sometimes U gotta do it if U want 2 keep 'em. (right?). anyways... when was the last time U saw your dentist? do U have a future appointment? what's your story?

Before Katrina, I went to the Faculty Dental Practice at the Dental School, my neighbor one of the professor's put me on to it--it lets the professors make extra money and for the patients it provides the cutting edge in dentistry. Now that the school is back up and running, my dentist up and retires. I'm going to call and get another one of the profs. Thanks for the reminder!

my appointment was last week. i got a titan pin for dead tooth that is broken in several pieces.
soon i will need a corona for thta tooth. -

Broke a back tooth last year. Ouch! And double-ouch for the $1,900 it cost me.

I used to go twice a year, but when we started our own business dental insurance is EXPENSIVE for the self employed. Now I go once a year beacuse it is 100% out of pocket.
I do floss once a day and brush twice though. So far, so good. -

Used to be only when something was wrong (every couple years maybe) but I married a dental hygienist so I'm forced to go every 6 months.

Oh, words so true coming from a Brit right?! Reminds me of this "horror" flick I saw on cable a couple of weeks ago called "Britain's Worst Teeth" OMG -- it was horrific. I've actually had my kids watch it to get them to brush better and avoid sweets.
Here's the teaser: "Britain’s Worst Teeth follows four twenty-somethings with some of the worst teeth in Britain. Their teeth are so bad they affect every aspect of their lives. They are in pain and are embarrassed to go out. They find eating and speaking difficult, and not surprisingly, they find it difficult to attract partners. "
