Just went to the dentist a week and a half ago and boy, did it turn out to be painful. I had to have a tooth pulled. I had to catch up on some work that needed to be done from back east.
Anyway, he numbs me out and gets down to business drilling and scraping away, well next thing I know he's prying and I hear things cracking as he's pulling, As it turns out the tooth was bent at the root, so he really had to work at it.
It took him a while, and I thought he would be pulling out the chisel soon and start tapping away, lol.
He finally gets the tooth out and stitches me up, and says, "boy I don't think I'll have to work out tonight". I mean, he was really working at it, I had to laugh.
As the novocaine wore off, the pain came on, and boy did it hurt. I got home and crawled right into bed with my oxycodone and just slept. Sleep the next few days was on and off, as the medicine kicked in and wore off. I would toss and turn until the motrin kicked in. At this point I stopped the oxy, as I can't stand how it makes me feel.
I have to go back on Wednesday to have the sutures removed and have the bridge put in.
Anyway, guys, the best thing to do is take care of your teeth!
I haven't even mentioned the cost, and I'm not going to. That is painful in itself.
ps, I really feel sorry for those Brits, ouch is all I can say!
