hello fellow chrome domes: what was your longest non-stop road trip? my longest non-stop road trip was from beautiful pensacola 2 the chicagoland area totaling just under 1000 miles. it was back in 1996 which was the last time i was in the chicagoland area. it was approximately a 13-14 hour trip. the only time i stopped was 4 gas & food.
so... how 'bout U? what was your longest non-stop road trip? what's your story?

Great topic yet again, Mel. My longest would have to be a solo shot from Albuquerque, NM to Decatur, TX just outside of Dallas. About a 12 hour trip with a stop for gas and I think one for food. Drove all night to meet up with the wife and her family so we could go to her great aunt's funeral. Left after I got off work and drove all night. That was a tough one by myself.

Guess I'm a big driver. During college I did the trip from home to school (700 miles) in one shot all the time. My best time was 10hr 15 min... might have pushed the speed limit on that one.
Longest road trip was when I had just gotten my learner's permit. My mom and I took 6 hour shifts on a 4600 mile trip, MA to ND to NC to MA. Did it in 3 days, no stopping for sleep. The longest the car was turned off was an hour so that we could get an oil change in NC. That was a fun trip, 7 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday.

I forgot spring break last year. Hauled a car full of my friends from VA to Key Largo. 16 hours straight if I remember correctly.
This thread brings back some fun memories.

The MN trip was the most recent and I don't usually do that crap anymore. I'm getting to old to run like a mad man anymore.
I sleep and drive pretty well but its just not worth it anymore
