I've used this stuff for the past week and I think it is awesome. I don't mind the smell at all. Didn't even notice it until I read the comments here. This is good stuff.
Thanks for the tip, Rick! I admit I was skeptical of this little bottle of oil. I tried this for the first time today and it's awesome. I keep the routine pretty simple with Edge gel and a Mach3 or Fusion. But a few drops of this really gave a slippery slick shave. I put a thin layer of shave gel over it and the results were excellent. I thought the scent was great; not overpowering at all and very natural. And it left a great natural shine to the dome. My skin was smooth all day on face and head. It's a keeper.

If you guys like this, then you would LOVE Pacific Shaving Oil. Though it's a bit pricier, it smells great and is actually a much slicker oil than Secret Shave.

Oh, heck yeah. I ordered some of this stuff about a year ago and it was by far one of the best shaves I had ever gotten hands down. But like you said it is a bit more pricey and since it's only sold around the Cali area I have to order it online. Which is no biggie to me but the shave secret is only around the corner for about $3. But for sure, Pacific Shaving Oil is some good stuff. If anyone ever wants to give something else a try you will not be disappointed I guarantee it. The best thing about it I found, besides the awesome shave, is the smell. It's not over powering at all. I actually still have a few drops of this stuff left. I think I'll treat myself today.

Just to give all of you, that care, an update on the Shave Secret ingredients I received a reply back. Here's the guy's exact words:
The blend is comprised of cold pressed seed and nut oils, botanical
essential oils (clove), vanilla oil and Rx grade menthol. Nothing else.So it sounds like some good stuff. I mean, I knew it was a great shave but now that I know the exact ingredients I'm that much happier with it. I think I found my new routine. Shave Secret followed up by Aloe Vera.

Thanks, Lance. Now I'm going to have to try it. I will pick some up next trip to Wal-Mart.
I have to compare it to KoS oil, since it got such rave reviews. Been a while since I bought anything new for shaving anyway.

I don't know about this stuff my bros.

I just gave it a another try and it didn't do too well with me. It seemed to almost have a drag to it. For me anyway. I used it just like I do my KoS oil. I applied a little extra just to make sure I covered the dome well and rewet the dome in between every few razor strokes. It just didn't do it for me. I'm not going to knock it just yet though. I'll give it another go the next time I shave just in case. It did tend to make my dome a little oily just like my KoS does. That's why I had stopped using the KoS and went back to HeadSlick. But we'll see.

I gave the Shave Secret another try a little bit ago and it did a way better job. I think it's because I used a different razor. I'm totally convinced now that there are just some razors that are not going to work on some people's head no matter what. I got my Fusion out of storage yesterday to use with the Shave Secret and it just did not do anything for me. My head has a lot of bumps and dents in it and it just seems like the Fusion goes right over these spots. I used my Schick Extreme today and it was a big difference. Smooth as can be. I notice too that the Fusion seems to drag a lot more than any other razor I've ever used. Just my opinion.

One trick I have learned with Shave Secret is put a drop of oil on the blades of your razor and the lube strip. It makes it even more cushiony. I like to do this when I am shaving on my neck where I have to be careful. Try it!
