I like the Sensor's alot more than the Atra's now that I have used them. They are way more forgiving.

Forgiving in what way?

They are less likely to cut you than the Atra blades due to the way the cartridge is designed.

Right on! Thanks Ty. They are alot softer than Atras. The only two times I gauged my head shaving was with Atras. The first cut took quite a hunk out and left a scar.

Whatever razor that you use, the desired end result of a smooth slick dome is what counts eh!

I talk to a lot of guys who shave their head. It seems that it's becoming a more popular thing to do now, or I'm just noticing it more. Anyways, I usually ask what razor they use to shave their head.
The number one answer I get is...you guessed it...the Mach 3.
Now, I don't use the Mach 3. In fact, I don't even use a straight razor. Instead, I use a Remington! That's right...I use an electric razor! It's the only way to go for me. I get just as smooth of a shave as using a Mach 3, but without the cuts and razor burn. Plus, the overall cost is much cheaper in the long run.
Tell us, what do you use?

This morning I pulled out my old Sensor that i used before I got my Fusion. I had a new blade in the drawer so I loaded it and shaved my face with it this AM. Nice shave.... about as nice as the Fusion. I like the Fusion but the blade prices are ridiculous. I may go back to somrthing more reasonably priced for the face..... for the noggin' I'm staying with the Headblade Sport.

I totally agree Mike. I have an unopened Fusion in my cabinet. Warhawk?, lol.
I find I get a perfectly fine face shave with my Atra or Sensor. I will occasionally use my Mach III. I don't buy in to the theory that more blades equal a better shave. I think it's overkill.
I definitely can't see spending the extra money on them.
You may also want to try some of the generic Sensor types for the face. See which one works best. You can save some money there.
Keep it smooth, bro!

The Gillette Fusion rocks
with a bit of head lube
I've started using the Gillette Fusion and I agree, it's an amazing razor. The Fusion shave cream is very good to.

I have used 5 razors the fusion power and manual the all of the mach3's. The fusion manual was my primary razor up until about 3 weeks ago I started using the headblade sport with the sensor excel blades. The atras tore my scalp up bad!

Well I just shaved my head for the first time today. I did a lot of research and decided to go with the HB Sport, it started out nice but then I got impatient and used the Mach3 to take care of business. I went against the grain so we'll see what the consequences are in a couple days...

The Mach 3 is a good one for me. It's cheaper than the Fusion and shaves almost as smoothly.
I've been shaving my head since about 1978. Back then, a Norelco would shave about as well as a blade. My hair texture has changed as natural male pattern baldness set in. Now, electric razors just don't seem to cut it- so to speak.
