Hi everyone! I am a bit hesitant to use a blade on my head for the first time, so I want to go for something that is a bit more forgiving than let's say the double edge razor that I regularly use on my face. I am currently on the fence between the headblade and an electric razor. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I don't use it anymore, but the HeadBlade is an excellent way to get your scalp used to being shaved. Once you've "toughened" it up, you'll probably want to use your DE. I get superior shaves with my DE.

I use a headblade. It's the perfect way for me.

Head blade atx + Dorco pace 4 = my wife can't keep her hands off my smooth dome.
That's pretty much all that matters to me

I've been using Dorco 4 blade razors, and Cremo Cream for some time now. Excellent shave with no nicks every single time.

I used to use a Gilette Fusion razor to shave my head and used to get great results but have recently been using a Gilette Body razor which I find equally as good - if not slightly better.
I bought mine when on holiday in France earlier in the year. Not sure what I'm going to do when I've used the blades though as I've never seen them here in the UK

Okay I know this thread is 10 years old with 89 pages, but I thought I'd still chime in and state which razor I use.
I use the Bic Flex 4. I love this razor for shaving my head, to no end! I have no plans on switching. It gets the job done for me quickly and smoothly with no cuts. To this day, I have never cut my head using this razor. I think it's called a Flex because of the way the part that hold the blade kinda flexes, bends or swivels around your scalp. I love that feature!

The atx + dorco carts still gets used for quick shaves and sometimes for primitive travel (camping or one night road trips for example) but I most often use any one of my DEs: Merkur 37c Slant, Maggard Open Comb on MRT stainless travel handle, standard razors aircraft aluminum DE, or my dorco prime tto. I use several different blades but most commonly personna blue, feather, silver blue, or 7oc black.

Headblade ATX with the Gillette blue 3 cartridges ( I know they may not be as good as the HB ones, but it's hard to get the HB cartridges in Romania ).
I'm happy with it, never got any cuts, rashes or so

Merkur Futur. Excellent razor but now reserved for the face only.
Slippery, heavy and requires extreme caution. But otherwise the precision, weight and possibility to change aggressiveness make it unbeatable.
Using it for the head is quite difficult and takes a lot of time.
So, I started shaving my head with Panasonic ES-LA63 - not as close but so much less stressful.

Hey Guys,
I tend to switch up the razors I use as I like to test out different type. I haven't delved into the world of straight razors or safety razors yet. The best disposable razor I have come across is surprisingly Harry's Razors. The quality is unbeatable when it comes to a disposable razor.

Goatee, I'll send you a link to what I ordered - first go get the black sensor adapters on headblade website. They will allow you to use an array of other cartridges.

Hey Harry! Good to see ya!
Still representin' the bald life. Just been very busy, now that my son is old enough to regularly be on my case.
