My daughter is fifteen and still goes Trick or Treating, but this year she has forbidden me to go anywhere near her. So I am home waiting for the doorbell to ring. On a happy note, some very nice trick or treaters just came to my door and gave ME a beer (actually the parents, not the kids!)
I want to live in your neighborhood!
We have always made it a point to be somewhere else on Halloween. We moved into our house 10 years ago today, and this is the first time we have ever been home. It was pretty fun with the little one. The neighbors really "did it up"...

Turn off the exterior lights ... Close the curtains !! Since there are no kids in the immediate neighborhood, I don't feel to bad about it.
The trick or treaters that tend to come to my neighborhood are all 6'3" and driving their own cars, so I don't feel too bad about not handing out candy, either.

I had one small group of 'children' trick-or-treaters come to the door.
Forgot my wife left the front light on. No others came.
Guess it was a slow night in this neighborhood.

We had less than a dozen trick or treaters....guess our neighborhood is all grown up.

I got off easy this year. It rained most of the afternoon and into the night....my street was practically a ghost town.

Rain and very few trick or treaters, and my neighbor backed into my daughter's car parked on the street - not a good night.

We had about 80 kids, most were polite and said thank you!

Or you're just a little too scary.

While I was working last night, we got a few trick or treaters that came to the milk parlor. They were just neighbors but we had candy, just in case.
I did wear my non-bald related costume to work last night, the cows didn't like it but the boss thought it was great.
