I wish I could grow in hair on my cheeks evenly. The left fills in more than the right and I got impatient so I decided to go with the trim thin beard. You guys have some pretty sweet beards.

Greatnessinc, I am unsure how long you went before trimming to the chinstrap, but I tell guys to give it at least three months to see if it will fill in. Many guys do get impatient and shave or trim before waiting it out. Cheeks are typically the slowest growing part of the beard and sometimes do fill in in the third month.

I gave it a few months give or take. My left cheek grows faster and fuller than my right cheek. I felt like it was lopsided so I trimmed it down; however I'm leaving room for it to grow up a little more from roughly around the edges of my mouth to the sideburns.

Most beards grow in unevenly. It is hard to wait out the sometimes awkward growing in stages.

I've received a few compliments on my beard, most of them saying it looks good on me. Even before I started shaving the cheeks down one of my neighbors that I haven't seen in a while liked my facial hair. I think I like it better this way.

You said you were letting it grow a little higher up on your cheeks. How about a current photo?

I like it now but I also really like the before picture. The scruffy look and the cap makes a cool look.

I like the before picture also. Not that there is anything wrong with the after but if you can be patient and let the cheeks fill in a little more, it will be a little less maintenance for you.

Wow! That really is remarkable!
One of the barbershops I go to is just finishing a year long beard growing contest. I was therevthevday that all of the contestants had their epic beards shaved clean tombegin the contest! They have been ousting photos of the contestants growing their beards every month now for a year.
I swear that some ofthose guys are not human!
Check itout by searching for Joe's Barbershop on Fullrton avenue in Chicago. It is a hoot!
