I know what you mean Beardman. Without being vain, I am just being honest, since going sly I tend too look at myself more in the mirror and I think, "Waine, you look OK, this Sly look is working!".

I've had overwhelmingly negative responses to buzzing it to a #2, particularly from single ladies. It seriously has been like night and day. Several that I see almost daily have essentially stopped talking to me unless circumstance necessitates it. I'm "out."

Ladies who are taken already don't act any different. But they're already taken, so I was already friend-zoned anyway.

I don't really get any responses from ladies besides something really simple like..."you're bald!" and maybe a rub on the head. I honestly do think that most women do like men with hair and even more when it's complimented with a beard. I just can't do it anymore. I'll take comfort over looks any day just like with my clothes. I used to have a huge afro with perfect ringlet curls though, and I was swimming in pussy. Now it's the polar opposite but I don't really care hahaha.

It's all about how you carry yourself, man. A man with perfect hair who is not confident and/or is a douche will always lose to the confident bald man.
My sentiments exactly.

Girls don't mind, even the ones that do will get over it if you're a great friend.
Obviusly if you go from shaggy rockstar to cueball, there's going to be some negative reaction. People fear what they don't understand. That's ALL it is, women react the way you direct them to. Remember they are there for your pleasure, this mindset has kept my game strong through trial and tribulation

When I was in the military we had a term for these types of things: "Fire for effect". Similarly, posting something outrageous just to elicit an effect has a name too: "trolling".

Wow. The last time I heard macho, he-man rhetoric like that, it was from a guy in my fraternity who had this fantasy about being James Bond.
He wasn't.

My mum joked about when am I going to grow my hair. I said I'm gonna spend the year 2014 being bald.
My girlfriend said she prefers me bald. hahaha!
My girlfriend's sister said I don't look that bad so I take that as a I'm alright.
My female colleagues play around with my head although she recently told me she hates it when there's a tiny bit of hair growing. (the feeling is like a... rough sandpaper?)

None of the girls actually reacted badly. Most of them said nothing. One girl really liked it and kept bringing up the topic in our group

.
My mum and my sister like me better with hair. But they don't really care.
I am yet to receive any negative comments.
I guess confidence does really goes a long way in enhancing your look. First time reactions for a bald by choice guy is scary, but all you really need is a big wide smile

DSCSK, you're totally spot on.
Positive attitude and confidence in oneself will carry the day. My assumption is that regardless of how someone may judge my appearance, the final assessment will be based on our interaction - confidence, smile, well spoken, good manners. People who are "different" (shaved head, speech impediment, tattooed, physical impairment, piercings, etc.) may need to exert a little more effort.
AND ... the first time you get an unexpected head rub, well, that seals the deal.

Thank You Frontier Guy
The newest kind of reaction that I got was that I looked cute. Like an innocent kid

. That really made my day
