New To Being Bald

Just recently a lot of people at work shaved their heads in support for Cancer. Some guys even went to other step and shaved it bald. I was one of those. The razors they had at work were the cheap thrpw away ones and I got a few nicks. Then at home I took the mach 3 to it and I am loving it so far. I even feel more confidant, if that makes sence to anyone. My wife has to get used to it though, she doesn't seem to like it that much yet... Any advice to get her tom get used to it? or just give it time?

Welcome to SBGs mmatzick! My wife was not very supportive of me going SLY, but after a few weeks she got used to it!

She still tries to down play it a little, but all I have to do is remind her how much her friends seem to like it!

Welcome, glad ya joined us. Give it some time. When she realizes how much you like it and the confidence it gives you, she should come around.

mmatzick,
Welcome! Did you ever have thoughts of doing this before the big shave event at work, or is this a new found discovery that you like? My wife wasn't thrilled about it too much and I didn't ask her -- I did show signs that I was headed that way. She eventually got used to it, but she's not much of a head-rubber.

I agree with Paul; let your wife know how much you like it, and that it gives you a boost of confidence. By the way, were you losing your hair, or did you shave a full head? Post a pic if you can, and keep it sly.

WELCOME!
My wife didn't like my new look and so I gave in and grew it back. A year later I told her I just wasn't happy and I was shaving it off again. She's still not too excited about it but some things a guy just has to do! She won't admit it but I can tell she likes the confidence I now have!
Positive comments from hot babes welcome!

I think time will help out. If it's something you really like, be honest and let her know.
And welcome to Sly Bald Guys!

I had a full head of hair. It was shaved off clipper short in support for Cancer and I decided to go all the way and like is. I will post a pic as soon as I get some. Tomorrow is shave day anyway :O

Dear Mat. Welcome to the brotherhood. Give it time. Also, involve her: get her to shave your head--intimate experience, as those on this forum can attest. Stick with it; exude confidence and a "what's wrong with YOU," attitude. Being willfully bald is a guy thing, a celebration. Professor Melon

Welcome to SBG, mmatzick.
My wife wasn't wild about me going totally sly at first either. Over time, she has grown to like it. Besides, she couldn't say much because she occasionally dyes her hair.

Welcome to SBG! My wife wasn't sure at first. However, she has come to love my SLY look. The nightly headrubs prove it...the head massage is nice too.

Welcome brother. I always say "anyone can wear hair and only the proud and "sly" can go without!
