I use the HB Sport with trip blades in it and gashed my head this morning with a brand new blade. I have discovered that I have to pay really close attention when I start hitting the area behind the ears.
I don't understand why you guys insist on using the HB, it's a trinkity razor that will cut the shizola outta you if your not careful. I get a great shave with the M5 and NEVER worry about cutting myself.
Howdy gents, I was using the HB triple blades until recently when I ran out. Had it down perfect-vroom vroom-quick and done within a few minutes and no cuts.
While waiting for the new order of triple blades to arrive, I have been using the double blades. Sh*t! Cutting myself every damn time that I use it. Has anyone else noticed a difference between the use of double and triple blades?
Thanks,
N
Maybe that's why I've been slicing myself so much in recent days. I must have picked up a pack of
"doubles" by mistake. I was beginning to think I just got ahold of a bad batch of blades.

Well the HB doesn't work for me either, although I have to say as a visual it's great industrial design. But for my much used and loved M5, time marches on and only so many blades left--they're bankrupt. Since I prefer a stick razor I guess at some point I have to go back to the high priced models.
I find what works best for me is where ever i find the rough stubble where i rub, i slide the razor in opposite direction. so effectively going against the grain. especially on the back on the head where it grows in all different directions!
I also try and go over the area in least amount of times, like your self. Hope this helps.
