Outsider, IMO the sly look is a better look for you.  I am not an advocate of the buzzed look. It's your head, so the decision is yours.  The buzzed look does not look clean to me.  Sort of, being in between decisions- should I shave or do I want hair? Which is it?
I am no better that anyone else, but by God, no one is better than I am

I would say without a doubt shave it smooth...bald looks great on you...but here's a suggestion...

I would not do the full goat for yourself...it's too heavy and makes you look REAL bald compared to what is on your face...I'd keep a stubbly beard (bout 3-4 days, no more)...your facial hair is too dense when grown out compared to your head....

or better yet just go for the fully shaved "mr. clean" action...your looks can handle it! O0

Like Tyler said, if you have an itch scratch it, or shave it. Whatever works.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the cool responses. While I was riding my motorbike afterwork last night I decided that i'm gonna have to "scratch that itch".  The look i'm going to go for is Slick dome with a stubble beard, I might even give clean shaven a try just to see.  So... in preparation for the slick dome I re-did my guardless clippering, so its pretty short this morning. I will probably shave it over the weekend when i "lay down the law" with my parents. hehe. I'm excited :) I wont have to worry about the head shadow as my head is already "tanned" (well freckled being a redhead).

I will post a few pics once done :)

On a side note.... I went to see Star Trek 11 at IMAX last night and let me tell you there are heaps of sly guys in that movie, not to mention the 5 that i saw in the audience with me. Great to see that the sly look is picking up.

PS. The movie was great, not a typical trekky film.

Awesome I really think keeping the beard stubble or actually shaved clean WILL help the bald thing with the folks...it's weird but I can see it..

good luck bro...bald suits you! O0

Hey guys,

Well this morning was meant to be the time to bring back the sly but I am sad to say that i chickened out.  I dont know whats wrong with me, its not like my buzzed 0 haircut is far removed from slick bald. I am just really concerned my parents are gonna chuck a fit at me.  As it is they bitch and moan about my current look, i fear this is going to be worse. For the record I am living with my parents at the moment.

I need a plan of attack, should i shave in the evening or in the morning the first time?  On a weekend or weekday? Should it be with the grain or against the grain? i've not razor shaved my head in 5 months.

EDIT: I'm not as concered about what others think, its purely my parent's reaction that im concered with.
