Thanks for posting that BB. I had a day today where everything just kind of caught up with me...but that recharged the batteries.

Which only goes to prove the old adage, ya don't judge books by their covers.

OH MAN! That was the most incrediable thing I have witnessed this week ( beside it being Easter) But Look at that...listen to it. WOW! The judges said it well, we are all cynical at times, and when I first started watching that, I thought to myself that she was going to be some kind of joke. When the music started and the first note came out of her mouth I was floored! Way to go Susan Boyle! Sing it babe!

It only aired on UK TV this last saturday, so it depends on the judges whether she'll go through to the semi-finals etc. i hope she does. It's a good advert for all those who had an ambition and thought it was too late. It's never too late to follow your dreams. A really great voice, I agree, and a big surprise.

So the UK Brothers can keep us posted? When I was watching her I was reminded of my wife's late uncle who was enamored of Kate Smith during WWII, but of course he loved her voice before he saw her in person. She wasn't a trophy by a long shot, but her voice was wonderful. She had a fantastic career. I hope this lady really hangs on to the stars.

I think she is an inspiration and find her singing extremely emotional. The fact she is Scottish is an added bonus.

Excerpts of the tape were on last evening's national ABC News and also this morning on Good Morning America. Robin Roberts said she had watched the tape several times. This lady is going to really take off. She's approaching 50, who dropped the ball in Scotland not getting this tremendous talent out there MUCH earlier

? She also seems to have a good sense of humor about life

. She's going to be a real pleasure to watch

. Her voice seems natural. I wonder if she had training? You'd think her teachers, if she had them, would have pushed her into the public limelight much earlier. If it's all untutored and natural, she really was robbed of a career in opera! She'll make some bucks though and give the public a lot of pleasure doing it. I'm curious, does anyone want to bet how long it will be before she's introduced to the Queen? Dame of the British Empire?

I've watched the video 5 or 6 times now and I'm absolutely mesmerized by it every time.
What an amazing undiscovered talent.
