The Superintendant and ME...........
« on: April 18, 2009, 10:55:15 AM »
Well the Mrs. and i had our meeting yesterday with the superintendant of schools.
AS I stated previously, I had the feeling something more than he told me was really up.

So off we went at 3 PM to his office. We were greeted warmly. There were no lawyers there.
The first time i spoke to this man he was well spoken, quick to reply, and very composed. Yesterday however, he was a different guy. He stumbled over words and ideas and there were long pauses in his responses.

We didn't say much at all but he spoke about how the school had been in touch with the maniufacturer of the playground equipment so they could modify it to make it safer.
He also told us how he, the Principal, and the heaad of the maintenance staff watched a 90 minute webcast on playground safety.

And that was it.......... took about 5 minutes.

Now I'm just an old city boy without a degree but everything in my instincts tells me he either wanted to say more or he was waiting for us to say more. I think more likely the latter.

He was squirming.... my wife even kind of laughed about it when we left.

So now it's game on...... my counsel will be handling things from this point on so that we can stop stressing over it.

Wow, that's pretty strange! Gotta make me wonder why he would have changed since last time you saw him. Stressed out? Personal problems? Bipolar? On drugs?????
It's all about attitude!

I think the guy is doing what his lawyer is telling him to do that's all.  He probably wanted to ask you how far are you going to push this or what your intentions are--you know stuff like that.  I think he's scared.  He's at your mercy now FINISH HIM!!

HAHA, I like reading your posts, Mikekoz13, always something interesting about your life (like a book or a soap opera).  You should be an author (if you aren't already).  I hope your daughter gets well soon.

I have a hunch the school board has informed him that his job is riding on the outcome of this.   Keep us up to date Mike.  And oh yeah, how's your daughter's recovery progressing?

Sounds like the principal at my daughter's school.....a principal lacking principle.

My daughter is doing very well. We go back to the surgeon tomorrow to have it x-rayed to make sure all is healing well. Then if everything is good, the cast will come off and the pins out about 7-8 days later.

I agree, it sounds like the Principal is getting the screws put to him.
