I've been SLY for 3 weeks!!!.....but, the reactions have me stumped. I have received NO comments from family, friends or co-workers. I was keeping it really short (no guard) before. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed.
Anyway, I did see a cousin today for the first time in about 15 years. She asked "Where is your hair". I replied "In the sink".

Did you wear a cap before? I wore my hair really short before as well, to quote BaldRob, "It was almost gone anyway...". When I was out, always had a hat on...at work, I made sure everyone knew I went sly and they mentioned it wasn't that far of a leap...but liked it! Difference for me now is that I hardly wear a hat anymore...

Gave my brother a SBG shirt today and mentioned he should go SLY if he chose to wear it...sounds like he is going to take my advice and shave it all off this coming weekend!!!
That's sweet bro! I may have to do that to my brother this weekend.
Well...he did it!

When I first shave my head, my dad said, "Marshall, it looks like hell!" My dear stepmom almost cried and said, "But you're a Christian!" (As if only non Christians or immoral people shave their head?)
The reaction from dad was not unexpected. He was 67 and quite thinning. If he had been in good health, I don't know if I could have imagined him shaving it even then. Dear old dad even tried a toupee once but decided against it. But I think his reaction was because he wasn't cool with his hair loss.
Other reactions ranged from indifference to acceptance from younger relatives. My aunt and uncle on my dad's side thought I should grow it back. Plus my uncle is quite bald. But some people feel that if you only have more hair than the fringe, then you shouldn't shave it.
One interesting note, at my current job, I had grown my hair back for awhile. When I did that my boss thought I should shave it off as it looked better that way. And my boss has a full head of hair. But his brother is sly!

Is she on "our" side with this? Meaning, is it a virtual certainty now that it's going to happen? If the GF wants you to be sly, it's a pretty hard request to resist, don't you think??

We'll see. He'll eventually get there, but I'm not convinced it will be really soon.

Haven't you explained to him that resistance is futile?

I've tried, but he's more stubborn than I am. He's also bigger than me, so I have to find a Sly way to get him to shave.

My recommendation: A Competion... Take him out to a club [preferably mutual territory] & lay down the challenge to him to see who can pick up the most digits. At the end of the evening, if you win, have him shave it... Or he might after the demonstration of the power of the sly choose to shave on his own as well. good luck Ty

If he's the older Bro, I will GUARANTEE that he will shave it if he looses and you recommend it to him... No Older Bro wants to be shown up by his Younger Bro, Especially when it comes to the Ladies!

I'm the oldest, but he's very competitive and hates losing to me.
