I just gave up Headblade for the second time too. I switched from the stupid 2-blade that HB sells (that really tore me up) to the Gillette Senor cartridge. It was better, but I still got nicks and cuts. It also took forever to get my head done AND I didn't get as close as my M3 Nitro. I trashed my Headblade for good. I still have ALL their other products though (headslick, headwash, ect.), which are top notch stuff. Back to the M3 I go!

Too bad you guys, if you just gave it time and go slow and easy, you would be fine.
It does get better as time goes by.

I believe I too am done with the headblade, however I Can't say I'm 100% done with it yet. I used it for a month and found I didn't get any real benefit from using it. It worked fine, I never had the problems with cuts (touch wood) but I never found it any faster then Fusion, and like the OP mentioned I found it tough to use around the ears. I will however continue to use their other products as I really enjoy them, although there seems to be big time recommendations for Bald Guyz products so I might have to try a couple of samples of that sometime soon

I too have been cut badly by headblade. I notice that the majority of you guys are partial to Mach 3 or Fusion. Have you tried the other brands or are you just drinking the Kool Aid? If you haven't tried "Schick extreme 3 comfort plus" you owe to yourself to give them a try. I have been SLY for 6 years and I tried EVERYTHING, but always come back to Schick. They seem to be more flexible and accomodate all the curves of the dome better than anything else. Different strokes for different folks. (how do you know you dont like broccolli if you havent tried it??)

Wise decision.

I threw in the towel after three tries with that lethal weapon.
I have better contol with my ordinary M3.

Hey whatever works for you. I started out with the mach 3 because it is what I use on my face and what I had. It worked good for me but took some time. I ordered a headblade and love it. I don't think it is faster but it lets me shave my head in the shower which I had trouble doing with the Mach 3. Don't know why just me I guess. Yes the headblade is hard to use around the ears but I shave that area when I shave my face after the shower so it is all good for me. Use what works for you and is comfortable and you will be happy.

IMHO Headblade is a great idea with bad design and bad execution.

Hmmm....I was going to get the HeadBlade, but these reviews don't bode well. I have two small bumps/moles on my head and I'm afraid that the HeadBlade would slice 'em up. I've been using Mach 3 and it works well for me. I'm having a rough time shaving against the grain in the back (irritates my head), but that seems to be common for a lot of guys. Would HeadBlade help with this or should I just stick with Mach 3.
By the way, I've been shaving my face with an electric for years. I recently got a Braun Series 7. I tried it on my head this past weekend and it actually worked pretty well. I went back to the Mach 3 after that, for closeness, but I was actually surprised at how well the electric worked.

Well, I tried the Shick Extreme 3 Comfort Plus--twice, two slices, I went and got my Fusion blades--Why do I do this. Fusion works, and I'm not messing w/ it again, promise. I get this strange feeling though when I saw HB triples in the Winn-Dixie--but I touched the healing slice and walked on. Started the goatee this week so I'm curious to see if the Fusion blades last longer. We'll see if the goatee lasts long enough to find out.

is there a big difference between the fusion and mach 3 as far as the shave goes? ive been using the mach 3 for like 6 months but want to try out the fusion. the thing is the blades are SO expensive. so if its not that noticeable of an improvement im gonna stick with the mach 3.

to me honestly there isnt a difference as far as the shave goes i didnt notice a big improvement from the fusion i did like the one trimmer blade though and it did good for the ears but other than that nothing special i mean really think bout it is 5 blades gonna get a head smoother than 3 no once its shaved its shaved! i personally dont think theres a reason for ya to switch mach 3 works just as good and cheaper im sorry but im not gonna pay extra for 5 blades when 3 works just as good

i guess im one of the strange ones that found the headblade to work well. i find it perfect for the back of my head in particular. but maybe it's because i used it from the get go to shave my head. i never got used to using a fusion or mach 3 so maybe that's why i was able to pick it up.
but like people have said, gotta go with whatever keeps you smooth.
