i did the deed and shaved my head sly. but i nicked myself badly. so i stopped shaving. with my hair grown out 3 or 4 mm i went to work and so on. so everybody has seen me with short hair, but not shaved. so i am on the fence again. still wanting the shaved head but not having the guts to show it to others.

I am confused bro to tell you. It goes to show how nervous people can get with a shaved head.
The shaved head suits you really well from your pics so that's why I'm confused. But in any case, what do you use to shave your head?
I have been using bald guyz shave gel with Mach 3 & some other disposable razors and haven't nicked myself since then. If you can avoid getting nicked you might be more in the mood to shave. Make sure you use a proper shave gel like headslick or bald guyz shave gel.

Don't Shave if you have a bad gash!!!!! How long you been shaving with a razor? And what are you using? My scalp has gotten tough in the 5 months i've been doing it and i haven't nicked my head. My ears a few times from getting cocky. The main thing is to take it slow and use it as "ME" time, and you rock the slick head. Don't worry what others think if you like it keep it.

I have to agree. You wear the look well. Take your time and go slow until you get used to it. I use HeadSlick and a Fusion. Great results.
Just take your time. Wait until your head heals though.

hey 1mm: don't "quit" & sit on the fence because U "cut" yourself. it's like shaving your face when U "cut" yourself... one doesn't quit because he "cuts" himself. patience is a virtue when it comes 2 headshaving. hope U get the patience because U look like a natural. i can't imagine U with hair. keep us posted 2 your road 2 slyness.

1mm. A great many, if not all of us have been where you are, wanting to shave it but afraid how others will receive it. If you read past threads you will see that it is always pretty much a non-event to others. If you want to be sly then BE sly. Don't worry about what others think. From your pic it is obvious as the other brothers have said, that you wear it well. As someone who is BBC, it was a pretty big shock to show up to family and friends sly, but you have to do and be what YOU want to do and be. Go for it and to hell with what others think.

I agree with all the above.

If you want to go Sly - and from what I see of the pictures the look suits you - go for it.

It really doesn't matter what others think, just go for it and take it carefully when shaving over the area where you cut yourself - it will soon heal.

I have to agree with the others. Do what you really want to do. If there's that real 'need' deep down to be SLY and you really want to be SLY and you keep thinking about it, then you should do it, because the feeling will haunt you until you do it. The look suits you, and if you like it, then do it. After a couple weeks no one will even notice!

This is why we have a 30-day rule. I know you didn't have any choice because of the injury. But shave it again, and keep it that way for 30 days. Most people won't notice the difference. It's important that you experience being completely bald for a while; it's the only way to know for sure if it's for you or not. Otherwise, you'll always wonder and be bothered by it. Remember that it grows back in a couple of days.
Don't worry about what others think. Do you think any of them are spending any time wondering what
you think about the way
they look?

You obviously like it, and your avatar looks good. Suggest you use a Fusion and some baby oil when your dome heals up. You're doing fine, try the 30 day deal--and enjoy the compliments. You're going to have to beat the babes off w/ a stick if it's shiny and smooth when you're on the town.

Friday's fine, I guess. I don't understand why Friday, even though that was the day I did it. But, why not today when there's not much to do but TV, etc. Give it a careful cleaning w/ oil and a Fusion. Enjoy the freedom, the smooth soft feel of your scalp clean and sly

. Why not be nice to yourself?
