Ghost Rider - the movie
« on: February 05, 2007, 01:32:13 PM »
So, Ghost Rider should be coming out on Feb 16th in the US and late Feb or early March for the rest of the world.  What do you think?  Will you go see it?  Wait for Video?  Pass?

I can't wait to see it, the special effects look awesome!
I'm not a great lover of Nicholas Cage though, a lot of his films are
pretty hit and miss...but that movie does look good!!

If any of my american brethren  ;D do go see it, let me know what you think please.. :-*

Will definitely see it, but I'm into anything involving bikes.

I like Nick Cage so I'm interested in how is his going to portray one of the bigger bad asses in comics.  Any comic book junkie remember Lobo?  Another bad ass on a bike >:D

I hope to see it in the theater.  Anything with big booms and bangs should be seen on a big mamma-jamma screen!

I try to make a point of going to see any and all movies based on comic books, in hopes that they will continue to make movies based on comic books. The longer they do it, the better the movies get. If they stay at it long enough, they might finally get one really REALLY right (though Sin City was about as loyal as you can get)....

aw crap... sorry...my geek is showing...

Cage is good at times (Raising Arizona) and bad at others (Wickerman) and good at being bad at others (Con Air) and he wouldn't have been my first choice for Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider, but I'll be interested to see how it all comes out.

Anyway, it's 45 minutes to get to my nearest theater, but I'll definately go catch it.

Just saw Ghost Rider, special effects were awesome, his Ghost Rider bike spectacular.   Sam Elliot does a great job too.  Sly guys in it were the criminals of course.   Good part was the trailer for the new evil Spiderman coming out.  An;yone with kids is gonna love it.

I will definitely see Ghost Rider. Eva Mendez  :@` :@` :@` ... 'nuff said.
I wasn't big into Ghost Rider as a kid, but my son loves super hero stuff, so we'll have a dude afternoon and catch a matinee.

I know the Spiderman movies are loved, but IMHO, the best comic book / movie adaptation has been Daredevil. Say what you will about Ben Affleck, but he did a phenomenal job in the movie. Although having a Michael Clarke Duncan (black SLY guy) play Kingpin was odd. It's not a racist thing, just off the comic a bit. I know critics didn't care for it, but the story was near dead on to the comic. I was a huge Daredevil fan (had every issue back to the 60's). Plus, Jennifer Garner played Elektra  :@` :@`...'nuff said x2. Lastly, Collin Ferrel as BullsEye (SLY in this flick as well)...awesome.
