I trim back the pits otherwise it looks like I'm packing birds' nests.  Shave the back and some other trimming, but that's enough shaving for me.

its pretty gross but sometimes ill get these abnormally long hairs that grow on my shoulders or upper back so i shave them. its weird though cuz it only happens sometimes. they dont always grow back in the same area. at least i never notice.

When you get to be my age (turned 53 today  :px ) you get hair in all sorts of unwanted places.  Whenever I cut/shave my head hair I also do the back of my neck and upper back.  Occasionally I shave the ears along the outside and that bump just in front of the ear canal.  Otherwise I start to look like Yoda.  :D  Also I trim my eyebrows with a #1 guard every now and then so I don't have "grouchy old man's" eyebrows.  In summer I'll do the same to the underarms and sometimes the upper part of my chest if I'm going to be wearing a tank top.  I know some people attach all sorts of moral condemnation to men who cut body hair but to  me it's just a matter of wanting to look good.
