But come on Razorx, you telling me your armpit hairs have not grown into thicker ones since you started shaving?   I could be wrong you know.

No, they haven't.  Shaving is no different from cutting hair; it just cuts it much shorter.  It doesn't have an impact on growth.  When it first starts growing back, it may seem thicker because it's stubbly, but once it gets past that stage, it's exactly the same as it was in texture and thickness before the shave.

I can second him on that. My underarms, arms, chest, and stomach all grow back at the same thickness and color that they were a couple of years ago before I started shaving.

Thanks Cam, good to hear about your experience with shaving.  After reading the info shdwwlk gave I will have to conclude that it's the "When hair first grows in after being shaved, it has a blunt edge, which makes it seem thicker than it really is. This blunt edge gets worn after time"  that confused me.   Remember each area that has a dark hair there's probably many (or at least a few) light hairs.  When you shave you shave every hair so those light hairs will initially grow back with a thicker end so one might believe the entire hair is thicker.   Well, I guess the back of my neck will remain a mystery.  :/O

No "other" shaving here...... though I do some "manscaping" in the area down below just to keep things neat and presentable.....

I respect your opinion but my experience says otherwise.  So-called experts tell us that shaving doesn't cause dark hairs to grow but they don't have any proof (just like I don't have proof but I have experience).
If there's hair anywhere on your body that you haven't shaved before, give it a try.  Shave it for 6 months or so and then you will see what I mean.  No hard feelings bro.  cheers. O0

If shaving caused dark hairs to grow, we'd all have full heads of thick dark hair.   ;)

Have you tried growing your hair out Razor??

Thats my mentality, I feel all kinds of gross if I don't take care of my undercarriage.

I also shave my tattoo work, I don't do it near as often this time of year but at least once a month I have all my tattooed areas which for me is a lot of work, I don't envy women for shaving their legs as much as they do.

I'm kinda a hairy beast, though not as hairy as some.  But I only had my stomach shaved for a operation a few years back.  When there is hair all over the chest and back, I can only imagine it just being so high maintaince.  So I'm thankful that I enjoy my hairy nature.

Other than my head and face,  I just shave my pits, I tend to get very sweaty and I find that 'bald pits' seem to be easir to keep dry and smell free !
