I am. But more of the mysterious films, such as Saw, where they make you think also.

No, but I figured that movie out about 20 min into it. Plus, it wasn't that scary.

I used to be a big fan of horror movies and I have loads of horror books as well, but I just can't seem to watch them anymore. They prey on my mind too much and I end up having sleepless nights...

but Fred Kruger always was a fave, and The Fog, love that film!
Would "The Lost Boys" count as a horror film?...

Just saw SAW 3 at the movies.
The end was very good but I didn't really like the movie. It was like they wanted to put as many torture scene one after another.
In general in like horror movies and I watch quite a lot. But stuff like SAW or Hostel just isn't my thing.

I liked "The Lost Boys" as well, but I don't think it clasifies as a horrer flick. As far as movies like Freddy Kruger, and Jason, I think the more of them the make the more stupid they get. I liked the original Amityville Horror and the first Hellraiser.

A quality horror flick is hard to come by.
So many of them seem to be by college film students trying to squeeze in as many of their NEWLY-LEARNED special effects as first priority...
...Oh yeah...gotta have the good lookin' chick in the revealing booby-wear (or in the shower)
....with a cheesy plot as last priority.
I'm with don....older ones
I'm with Tyler...they need to have a good, well-crafted, mystery plot.
Going from one bloody slash scene to the next....I start yawning.

IT scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, you couldn't get me near a sewer lid or a clown for a long time afterwards.

talking of clowns, Poltergeist used to give me nightmares. I got too scared to get out of bed just in case there was one underneath it.

That is a classic!

I love horror movies. Even when I was about 8 or 9. They used to scare the hell out of me, but I couldn't look away. I remember I used to sleep with at least one lamp on in my room. I figured if the light was on, the Boogeyman or whatever else was out there wouldn't try to get me.
