Have a question for my fellow SBG's - How much music (and what kind) is on your computer?
The reason I ask is that over the weekend I consolidated my music library onto my computer (So I can throw it on my iPod and listen to it in my truck) And when I'd completed things, iTunes informed me that I have 398 songs with a listening time of 1.2 days (!!) taking up 1.74 Gig of HD space.
As far as kinds of music, it's mostly rock in it's many guises (metal, arena, southern, progressive, alternative ...blah blah blah..it's all rock to me!!) with some country, classical, Motown, reggae...a little bit of everything except rap (just not my thing.)

On my laptop: 2.6G (1.6 days)
On my desktop: 19G (10.7 days)
A mix of just about everything except hip-hop/rap.

Actually have none on my computer, b/c I have my iPod docking station right there.
Several days work of rock, country (mainly "pop country" that most hard core country fans detest, but I like it), jazz, classical and lots and lots of

Come on over and party, Koz.

I dont know how much exactly but I have about 70 or so cds and way too much I downloaded from limewire. I think I have about 300 songs. Most of the music I have is country with some rock, punk rock type, lots of classical, some Russian of various generas, and some other music. I love going to my moms place and hearing my younger siblings playing the piano and the violin and the mouth harp.
All that music is on my laptop. There is way more on my desktop because the kids and the wife all have music on it.

Not sure how much total -- but on a related note... I started using the free app Simplify Media which lets you access your library from any computer (or iPhone) you're on. Really nice not to have to transfer songs back and forth, etc. Plus, you can share your library with up to 30 other people. Very cool. As long as you have a decent connection, the music sounds/streams great.
And, no, I don't work for them
