Cardio was a killer too. The abs wasn't too bad. I'm sore as hell so I guess i'm doing it right. Feeling stronger already though. I'm psyched about getting in shape. The hardest part for me is going to be the eating right. I hate vegetables. Anyway, are there any supplements i should take that you know of?

I would recommend Animal Pak vitamins
http://www.animalpak.com/html/sections.cfm?ID=7 They're intense. I did two weeks of P90X, then started these bad boys and my recovery was noticeably better the first day. You can take 1-2 packs as needed, depending on your training level. If you really don't like veggies, I'd recommend two a day to get everything you need. It's like a multivitamin on steroids (11 pills per pack).
Definitely get some whey protein. Should probably eat about 1 g / day per pound of body weight (this is a rough guesstimate).
The vitamins will make your urine turn neon yellow rather than clear (b/c of the insane amount of B-12, I believe...) Plus, water is amazing. If you really can't stomach the veggies, then at least stick to the rest of the meal plan, take plenty of vitamins, and drink lots of water to help keep you hydrated and curb your hunger pains.
Thanks guys for all of the tips. I just received my P90 today and have a friend doing P90X. My goal is to move straight from one to the other and do a continuous 6 months. I have become too much of a couch potato since the broken ankle 10 years ago and departure from the Army.
I have no cartilage in the right ankle because of the two surgeries, but most of the exercises i saw were fairly low impact on ankles. And I need to strengthen them to compensate. Do the programs look modifiable enough that I can take that into consideration?
I think I have made the decision to start P90X. I think I am in pretty good shape. I guess we will see. Wish me luck.
Best of luck. Let us know how it progresses.

Yes....some of the Plyometric exercises can have some fair impact which Tony H. admits is "out of style" but he always provides alternate moves. There's a guy with a prosthetic leg on the Plyo DVD so it's all doable at various levels.
The way I did it was to start out with just doing 20 minutes of each workout and adding 3 to 5 minutes per week. That Yoga X is an HOUR-AND-A-HALF.....there's no way I was gonna tackle that all at once.
INTENSE STUFF, MAN!!!
