I have a pullup bar on my lat machine. A friend of mine swears by the "iron gym" pull up bar and said it doesnt hurt his doorway. I completed P90 a few months ago. I went from about 208 to 190. I definitely got more cut and had all but lost any bellyfat I had...My flexibility increased and I would say I was in better overall condition. However...190 for my 6'3'' frame IMO is a little too thin. So now I am working on just adding lean muscle thru some powerlifting. I am doing the Bill Starr 5x5. On my off days I do the P90 cardio routine a couple times a week and throw in the ab routine here and there. Heres my current routine...http://www.geocities.com/elitemadcow1/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm
yeah I hear ya bro...when I get lean my face gets thin too and Im not a fan of that. Unfortunately the only way to gain weight in your face is to gain weight...which is ok if its muscle.
For those of you who have tried the program, what are you using to do the pull-ups? I thought about buying the suggested detachable pull-up bar, but am hesitant because I don't really trust that it won't crack my door frame. (I'm a solid 210 at the moment) Also, has anyone tried the bands in the seated position? I just can't see those things being able to mimic 200+ lbs of resistance, regardless of how far back you stretch them, without breaking.
Rob: Thanks for the info and the e-mail webinar. This sounds really really intense. I just learned this afternoon that a friend has the dvd's for px90 and I may borrow them. I will of course let you know. Please keep me updated on your progress. I also plan to check out the webinar if I am back in town next week. Thanks.
go for it Steve. Dont be fooled into thinking P90 is easy...its not as hard as P90X but its still a heck of a workout.
