Shower shaver here..
Alright boys, i recently implemented a new water saving step to my shower shave. It's a little abnormal, but it conserves water and keeps it hot for the other peeps in your house.
1. turn on shower.. HOT. Make sure your fan is off in the bathroom, so you get some nice steam going.
2. quickly do preparation steps. Wash head and exfoliate. Rinse.
3. Abnormal part: Fill up tupperware container with your hot shower water. Turn off the shower.
Now this is basically a hybrid process between a sink and shower shave. If done right, you're bathroom is a little steamy, so you're not cold when you turn the shower off.
4. After applying your headslick (or what u wish), begin shaving, rinsing your blade in the container after each pass. I just set my one the shower floor.
5. Turn on shower, rinse.. do what you need to.
6. Cold water rinse.
It seems like an added step to have to find a plastic container, but it's working for me. I've recently moved back in with my moms and pops (before i go off and get married), so i need to be a little more conscious of how much hot water i am using. Which is typically a lot.
Obviously for the guys that need a constant stream on the head, this won't work. But hopefully this can help some guys conserve.
To each his own dude! I just let the razor go in the shower stream after every three passes or so.
And by feel. It's more accurate anyways.

I just recently started shaving in the shower due to the mess in the sink that takes so long to clean. I use Nivea Extreme Comfort Gel, the HeadBlade Sport, and a shaving mirror in the shower and it works great with easy clean up

Tried it once, however; the results were bad, so never will try it again. I ended up shaving all over again afterwards.

I use to shave in the sink for years. Tried out the shower for a long while after joining here a few years back because of some positive notes about it. But I always felt kind of rushed in a way because I just hate wasting the water. Because I can usually get done in the shower in about 5 minutes if I'm just washing. But when I added in the shave routine it took about another 10 - 15 minutes. So for the past few months or so I've went back to the sink. You know what??? I honestly can't tell any difference. Could just be me though. But I really can't tell that it made me shave closer or caused any less irritation by shower shaving. I don't really make a big mess either. I feel more comfortable at the sink. I can take my time and not feel rushed through the shave.

I must have a smaller shower than the rest of ya all

Never been able to shave comfortably but I'm happy enough with the bath or sink and I can still shave by feel easily.

Shaf, I think you said you are in the UK. I've found that in Europe, the showers are much smaller than in America. I don't think I'd shave in a German shower.
