What have you learned about shaving your head from the SBG site?
« on: September 24, 2008, 10:08:51 PM »
In the short time I've been here, I have to say I've learned a lot from you guys, and the various forums. As I don't have any sly friends outside this site, I didn't really have anybody to compare notes with. I came in here as  12 year vet of the sly game, figuring I knew quite a bit, and found out I knew almost nothing. Aside from the products I was previously unaware of (like Head slick and so on, from the Head blade company) which I will be trying just as soon as I use up my supply of Shave Secret - I've learned:

1) To exfoliate before shaving.
2) The cold water rinse after shaving.
and
3) A good dousing in Witch Hazel, post shave.

In the short time I've been here, the site has helped me achieve a whole new level of slyness O0
Yes I realize that they're only common sense to some of you, but somehow it slipped right on by that what worked well on the face would do the noggin good, as well. :-[

What has the site taught YOU?

I also had been shaving for a few years before coming to the site. The things that have changed for me are:

#1. Using apricot scrub.

#2. Using HB Headslick on the head

#3  Using witch hazel after shaving.

I still prefer to use the Fusion over the Headblade when shaving with a blade.

I came to SBG about 6 months after I started shaving my head.

I was using a Fusion razor and Edge shave gel because that's what I used for my face.

EVERYTHING else that I now know about shaving my head, I learned here.

I probably would not have known about the HeadBlade razor without the SBG forum.

The little piece of plastic and the backwards razor blade is an incredible combination............almost as good as sipping a margarita and listening to some Jimmy Buffett!  O0

Oh Geez,  I've learned a lot.  Mostly about self confidence.  I was really unsure going sly.  Now I couldn't care less what others think.  I love being sly,  people now see me as "thats the way he has always been", and most of that confidence came from this forum.

I learned about the Headblade and Headslick, Bald Guyz Wipes and alcohol.  I also learned that even with a full head of hair you can love being s sly dude.  Most importantly I learned that you can make strong friendships on a forum that is well formatted and respectful of all its members.
