Touch of Sun - Oil of Olay
« on: January 12, 2007, 05:51:02 PM »
Alrighty then...my first product review will be on Oil of Olay - "Touch of Sun"

I'm very interested in mitigating that pale, blueish-Gray shadow A.S.A.P. -- the subject that led me to this site back on November 8th.

I've recommended it on several occasions to various newbies asking that they report back, but no one has.  So I'll do the reportin' dangit.

I'll be shaving my noggin for the first time this weekend, so the pale area will be PROMINENT....especially with the coverage I still have (i.e. lack of MPB).

This will be a test of how quickly the pale shadow can be mitigated and then tanned with this product.

I've been applying it every 2 hours, man.  Worked great on all the skin OTHER THAN THE PALE SHADOW where it was blotchy and patchy.......made areola-like circles around several moles I have up there (LOL!).

<---------------see how it's pretty affective on the other skin (I haven't been outside that much to get that color).

Before I keep slathering that stuff on (12 bucks a tube!!)...I'm going to try the good ol' mile-high Denver sunshine a few times.   Got out in it for about 30 minutes today.

So the bottom line is that it didn't work like I thought it would on the corpse-like lizard underbelly.

However, it does give a nice even and CONTROLLABLE tone to the face and neck.

Noner.....on second thought.....it might work fine for your noggin since it's more weathered and "normalized" up there.

It worked fine on all my receding areas....and on the sizeable patch on the back of my noggin where my hair was really thin.  It was just the fishy, gooey part that didn't know what to do with it.

Hope that helps.

The "fishy-gooey part" I like how Robmeister doesn't get caught up in the technical jargon

For those of us old enough....remember that ol' Saturday Mornin' cartoon "Johnny Quest"?

There was the older guy "Rafe" or "Race" I think was his name....he had the greyish-blond buzz cut.

<----------that's what my pale shadow reminds me of...except he had a lower hair line.

PigPen, were you and I even alive when that was on?

Related to that...

Have you ever been in a social situation--guys, gals...whatever--where everyone's joking, ribbing, poking fun......but when you're brought into the conversation, it's all serious and status quo?

Ya don't feel the same love, man.

Early to mid 1970's ... probably not.  Damn I'm old ... or you're young!
