the things we do in our sleep
« on: July 15, 2008, 11:35:13 AM »
Apparently I was yelling in my sleep last night.  LOL.  I tried to trace back any dreams I had last night, but couldn't remember...
Which got me thinking, I have done some crazy things in my sleep throughout my lifetime, and I was wondering if you guys/girls had any stories (second-hand, of course) of any sleep walking/talking experiences?

I'll start...
(Told to me by my sister and my dad)

I was 13 at the time, and I decided to walk into my sister's room at around 2am.  I opened the door slowly, which woke her up.  She looked up, "Trevor?"  Unaffected by her, I made my way to her dirty clothes hamper at the other side of the room.  Still confused, she said "Trevor, what are you doing?"  I looked over at her, but then continued on with my mission.  There were a pair of jeans hanging over the side of her hamper, and I began to lift them up as if it was a toilet seat.  Just as I started to prepare to pee in all of her dirty clothes, she screamed!  My dad came rushing in her room and found me standing by her dirty clothes, with a confused look on my face.  He then grabbed my shoulders and directed me to the bathroom, where I knew what to do at that point.  My dad made sure I made my way back to bed, and in the morning I had no recollection of what happened   :)

What about you guys, any stories?

I, uh....sleep in my sleep.  O0

After a week's vacation, I realized my daughter talks a ton in her sleep. Both my wife & I got a good laugh out of that.

While I don't know of any things I have done, I do have a friend that did the same thing as Trevor, yet he was successful in using my other friend's closet.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

I dislocate my shoulder in my sleep.  Last April I woke up 7 times with my shoulder out of place, and I did it once this spring.

Other than that, I sleep through fire alarms.

On my honeymoon to my evil ex-wife she woke me up in the middle of the night screaming. I was choking her in my sleep. Must have been a premonition........

This just happened to me a few nights ago.  I dont know waht time it was but i rolled right off the bed onto the hardwood floor.  When I fell I hit my hip and was sorer  than sh*t.  My wife woke up and asked me what the hell I was doing on the floor.  I said hell i dont know I was asleep.

When I was about 13 I had spent the night wiht my grandmother.  SHe didnt liek being alone as my grandfather had just passed away like a month before .  I always liked staying there because in the morning  I could smell the bacon and the pancakes and of course the coffee being made and the sound of her favorite old country music being played from an old radio ontop of her fridge.  Anyways back to the story..( trip down memory lane there)  I had slept in her bed with her because quite frankly I was sorta too scared to sleep alone in that house because my grandfather died there .  I was sleep walking and I remember everything I was doing but really out of sorts.  She woke up and asked me where I was going, I was standing in her closet.  I said Im getting my glass of water.  She said Timmy there is no glass of water in the closet now get back in bed.  I said now hold on grandma I dont want to spill it all over your kitchen floor.  She said well place the glass on teh counter and we will get in the morning...lol....gotta love grandma's that just go with the flow.. So I turn around place the glass on her dresser and walk back to bed. Im laying there with the upper half of my body hanging over the edge of the mattress.  SHe said now what are you doing.  I told Her i was looking for my pillow.  TIMMY TIMMY TIMMY she said...she gets up, turns on teh light and walks around to my side of the bed and said Timmy you are holding your pillow in your arms.  I argued with her that it was not my pillow.  She said now Dammit Timmy it is too now get back up on that bed right or you will sleep in her by yourself with yoru grandfather.  Man I shot up real quick and asked her why she had the light on ...was she scared or something.  She said " No I was just looking for my glass of water".  I just shook my head and laid down.  LOL

Ah, that's no fun.  I'm no stranger to surgeries; had quite few on the old kidney.  Best of luck with the surgery and a quick recovery.

I talk in my sleep.  Like Mike, I could never have an affair.  I would tell on myself.
My daughter walks in her sleep every once in a while.
