My '80's band was under the same management as GNR, so we hung out with those guys quite a bit.

I used to open my beer bottles on Slash's belt when he was within arms reach.

Wow, well, I grew up in the Ottawa area and there are quite a few famous people from the area.

Bryan Adams, Paul Anka, Dan Aykroyd (my high school English teacher was also his English teacher), Bruce Cockburn, Tom Green, Lorne Greene, Massari, Alanis Morissette, Sandra Oh, Jesse Palmer, Matthew Perry, Alex Trebek, Steve Yzerman.

Yeah, that's a big list, but it's to be expected from a big city I guess.  I actually cut the list down a lot to the ones that most people would know.

Paul Anka

Jer, Anka is legend and still an outstanding performer.

He's been holding on to his receding hairline since the 70's.

What are you thoughts Jer of a totally bald Anka?

I'm not sure that anyone famous has come from the sleepy little town in Lincolnshire that I live in.
Margaret Thatcher was born about 15 miles away in Grantham.
From the school I went to:
Rick Dodds - GB hockey captain in Seoul Olympics (a couple of years older than me)
Neil Fox - Radio DJ type bloke
James Cracknell - Olympic rower (a bit younger than me)
About 15 miles from where I grew up - Eric Clapton.

Well, from that pic he definitely needs to go sly!
