Spicy food can be good, as it cleanses one's system. Be careful not to overdo it though; stomach ulcers are a possibility.
I chose Vietnamese as my daughter takes me (I pay) out to a local Pho place once a month. Thai and Malaysian food are big on the list too.
I love Indonesian rijstafel but it's impossible to find it here in the US. Basically you make a "table" of rice on your plate and then sample small portions of meat and vegetable dishes. Indonesian satay is terrific!
