I need some suggestions.  I wear glasses with no line bifocals and transition lenses (not too bad, but not dark enough).  I cannot wear contacts.

Are there any good prescription sunglasses that can accommodate my no line bifocals?  Do any of you have success or failures to share?

Max

Before I got contacts I wore a pair of Silhouette prescription sunglasses (http://www.silhouette.com/) and they were no-line bifocals. I had great success with them. They are extremely lightweight and very comfortable.

fr8train I am of the same belief.

Paying a premium price for a premium product that last longer and provide better protection is well worth it.

Hey Red,
Oakley Flak Jackets (polorized) are what I wear on a daily (in my pic) though my girlfriend found me a great pair of Pradas that I might pick up next week.

I've posted a new avatar pic with my Prada shades on.  Very much like the shape of the ones in your link, but with wider temple pieces.  I'd forgotten how cool they are  8)

Prada, Oakley? Why do you need such expensive sunglasses? You can't buy coolness. Drug store store shades are just as good. Have the same UV ray protection. I rarely wear sunglasses. I'm no movie star and definitlely have nothing to hide from.

Sly Buckeye Tyro-Agent Provacateur?

I think not. He just likes to look at both sides of the coin, No problem in that.

Tyro you are alright in my book. Nice! High Five!

Oakley has alot of their styles that can be fitted with perscription lenses

Great find X. But I saw nothing about any guarantee. That is my biggest reason for purchasing the Sunglasses that I do. See if I have to wear them everyday, which I do, they come on and off my head many times a day and if they break I want to know that I can get them replaced without having to spend anymore money on them. O:O As well, I have found that the Sunglasses that I purchase last longer (under the conditions that I wear them) than any others. O0

But it is very informative with regard to the UV rating.

Again, good find. Thanks. O0

I agree with you; I never buy the really cheap ones -- but some people do.  People who tend to lose their glasses frequently (with me it's umbrellas).  So it's good to know that the UV protection is there, at least.

ok i don't "loose" many things, let alone a good expensive pair of sunglasses!!!!!   By the way it's lose. u lose things. not loose things. if u loose things that means they don't fit so tight anymore. this loose vs. lose thing has become a bad epidemic......i see more people loosing things where they probably are really losing things. maybe thats y so many things remain un-foundededed
