I like texting. Probably send 3-4 per day. I'd rather get a text message than a long drawn out phone call!
my brother and i text quick messages back and forth. Simple things. If it seems to be getting deep we call. Do that with most of the family. I prefer to just meet up with people. If you want to talk a lot it is always best face to face. The telephone is not very personal either. What ever happened to hanging out?
Quote from: Paul on April 06, 2008, 07:36:42 AMNEVER text...and don't like receiving them either. Society is becoming too impersonal as it is. If what the person has to say is important enough for me to know, then they should phone me or talk to me in person.I'm 100% with Paul on this one. We're raising a generation with no interpersonal skills.

They also seem to be deemphasizing the importance of this in our 'lovely' government-run schools.

You mean I shouldn't do this when I'm driving??
I don't mind the funny pics or the jokes but I'm not for text conversations I hate them if you want to communicate with me then just frickin' call, I have a crew member that tries to do that to me all the time and it drives me nuts.

I HATE internet-speak. I cannot stand bad "internet etiquette," it just drives me insane, and the same rule applies to texting. Now that I think about it, almost everyone I text with texts with (at least) proper spelling.
