hey all...good day. Hey just wanted to ask everyone about their sleep patterns. Seems that if I get more than 5-6 hours of sleep...I feel like crap the rest of the day. I can work well on about 6 hours of sleep. I usually hit the bed around midnight -1am and up by 630-7. I just cant seem to go to bed any earlier than that. If I do it just seems like I just lay there and toss and turn. So how well do you function with the amount of hours you sleep...........

It's 7 hours for me. Any more or any less and I'm just not with it.
I'm an early person, so I'm usually in bed by the time the 10 pm news goes off. And then it's up at around 5 am.

Same here - I'm good to go with 6 hours sleep. Anything more and I'm wiping away the cob webs all day. In bed by 12 - 1 and up by 6.

I'll be honest with you; I travel every week (fly and drive) and work long unscheduled hours..My sleep patterns are so screwed up from travel that when I need to sleep I pop an ambien and sleep 6-8 hours...It sucks, but thats life.

6-7 hours a night is my usual. Segment of 60 Minutes last week had sleep experts insisting that all humans need between 7-8 hours a day though or problems begin. Inability to concentrate well, tendency to make mistakes, irritability, weight gain, etc. Claimed that Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, Exxon=Valez, and Staten Island Ferry accidents all due to lack of proper sleep.

I agree with that, the stress from a job that requires so much travel made it almost impossible to even get to sleep...It wore on me and effected my job performance to the point where I had to use a sleep aid..

I'm out by 11:00, up at 7:00 during the week. I try sleeping in on weekends, but my internal alarm clock goes off and I'm up.

6-7 hours during the week. A little more on the weekend. I've never been able to sleep late, no matter how late I go to sleep.

Having a 10 month old, Sleep is a commoditity. I will usually crash around 1am and I am up by 7-730. I used to work shifts at work but now I only do 1 shift at work ,9-530.
I have always been able to function on minimal sleep.
