You used my picture without my permission!
« on: February 16, 2008, 05:28:56 PM »
I found my own picture on this site in the "7 reasons not to get a hair transplant" joke  >:(. Readers should know that the scar shown in that picture was around 10 days post-op just after the sutures had been removed and my picture deliberately used on this forum to give the wrong impression about modern hair transplant surgery. And nobody has "plugs" these days  :/O  I see why the forum is "sly" bald guys now.

IMHO, there's nothing in the picture that could possibly identify it as you or anyone else.  How did you ever possibly find it anyhow?  And it must have been floating around the internet before it was placed in that blog, so what difference does it make anyhow?

The picture is hot linked to the forum where I posted it; that's how I found it. My complaint is that the picture of a fresh scar was used to lead people to believe that that's how a strip scar looks forever. There is hardly any sign of the scar now.

Ok,  so if it is a hotlink,  then it wasn't truly stolen or used without permission because the location of the picture is on your website ... It was more like pointing at it and then commenting on it.  It's called free speech.  If you don't want people pointing at your picture and commenting,  why did you put it on the Internet?  I suppose you could print a retraction over there on the hairlosshelp website ..

Um, I think the point was not to let someone slice up your scalp that badly in the first place.  Whether or not the scar is permanent is irrelevant.  You have not been adversely affected in any way by the use of that photo.  Get over it.

I second that. Build a bridge and get over it mate. Go pander your butchering technique somewhere else

I agree with the other SLY brothers.... and we're all very comfortable with ourselves and our baldness. No need for surgery..........

Again, you put that photo in the public domain so you only have yourself to blame.

If you're so proud of the results you got, why don't you post a pic and let us see you now???

Gotta say, I'm just not a big fan of having unnecessary surgery, no matter what the reason. And I'm with SlyinKC...let's see a pic of the scar now. If you're happy with the results you got, more power to ya. For those of us in this forum with MPB (and not all of us have it, by the way), we've found a much cheaper, safer, and emotionally satisfying solution.

Agree with everyone here, afterall we are a group of realists. Don't post on the Internet what you don' t want others to see. If you are happy with your results then let it go...

Damn did I miss something here?  If someone post a pic on a public forum or site on the internet then why the hell are you b i t c h in... sorry folks for the use of language.  Sounds to me you have more issues than hairloss or hair gain ...which ever you wanna call it.  This is a site for bald guys.  Like someone else said....why are you here if you are so happy with your surgery....that would be like me hanging out in a forum for rogaine.....wont find me there....cause nothing there would be of any interest to me.  So for future knowledge......Dont post pics on any web site that you dont want anyone to see....because they will find you. They will find you and cut all your hair off.....and ...and....and.....Oh why am I wasting my time on such a useless arguement.  Just go home would ya...

man i found the photo and it does show his face also. it truly is bloody and he will have a permanent scar from ear to ear . it runs all the way up to his ears. the sad part is he will have to get more scars as his hair recedes .

he is locked into a permanent financial burden to have hair while we all just worry how to smooooth the old dome to get the best shave.if you look up hair transplants even they say that a hair transplant is just a illusion of hair as they cannot recreate the density of a full head of hair it is impossible as there is not enough donor. to me this means that it is so thin that in brite lite or if it gets wet its gone and even under normal circumstances its see thrue.
so really it is fitting to use the photo to not get a hair transplant to end up with ear to ear scars a life time of financial burden to end up with a illusion of a head of hair that is see thrue and wont look real. yeah they aint plugs but they are scars and i dont think anybody looking at that photo is going to say  WOW HAVE THEY COME A LONG WAY WITH HAIR TRANSPLANTS I THINK ILL GET ME ONE. give me a break.......
